Was very friendly and inviting. Breakfast was wonderful there was so much to choose from. Was very disapointed by the fact I was unable to book any therapies as all were booked up. This was one of the main reasons for choosing Atholl Palace when we decided to visit Pitlochrie.

The setting is very beautiful with well kept grounds. There is plenty seating in the lounge and restaurant. The bedrooms were clean and well maintained. There were plenty waiting staff and all the staff were pleasant.I enjoyed my stay and would return. The food was very good with a genorous breakfast and the dinner menu changed daily. I felt the spa was the only let down. The swimming pool is in need of cleaning and the steam room roof needs a wash.

It was very relaxing and a quiet plaace to bring my elderrly father. Only knitpicking but the dinning room was either too warm or there was a draft blowing. Too warm when the sun is shinning.

The baronial victorian building is most impressive; outside and in. The public rooms and bedroom were very comfortable.

Comfort, relaxation, open fires, general ambience Food bland and vegetarian food depended on cheese every night, Porridge 'lumpy' and served in very small bowl - unimmaginative.

Disappointed as soon as walked in door. Wedding Guests loudly chatting and blocking foyer. Room adequate but not worth the money, very basic facilities and felt worn. Breakfast basic - looked a bit packaged. Disappointed with Spa facilities as this was only reason I picked this over other hotels in area.

the athol palace was a fine weekend break in beautifull surroundings . Everything went well , the room was nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious . the only down side to our stay was the younger members of staff in the resteaunt were bordering on the unfriendly , never cracked a smile . They could take a lesson from the room cleaning staff who were cheery , chatty and mannerable . Prices in the bar were way over the top .

It was in a wonderful and quite romatic setting, where you expected to be pampered, with open fires and an unlimted supply of hot water something that is not always available in older hotels. Tea and coffee in the room was plentiful and the room itself was well decorated and spotless. The whole atmosphere was wonderful and we would recomend this hotel and praise it to anyone who asked and will put it on our list of places to revisit The food although well cooked was a little unimaginative and the waiting staff need more training

My wife and I have stayed at the Atholl Palace several times over the years off season. We have had happy family and friends get-togethers there. This time much enjoyed the swimming pool. This time my sister and brother Edinburgh and Leith joined us overnight so it was a great together.Dinner, service breakfast was excellent. Only problem was my toast disappeared in the machine. If you find it let me know - my family thought its disappearance down a black hole was hilarious!! Jacuzzie and steam room were out of action!
