The Atholl Palace  

Was very friendly and inviting. Breakfast was wonderful there was so much to choose from.

Was very disapointed by the fact I was unable to book any therapies as all were booked up. This was one of the main reasons for choosing Atholl Palace when we decided to visit Pitlochrie.

The hotel was lovely lived up to its name as a castle set in lovely grounds view was stunning from some rooms staff friendly welcoming & helpful & easy to find. Above all peaceful so you could relax take it easy. Would use it again and would definitely recommend to friends

The only drawback I was told was that the fried eggs for breakfast - 2 days running - had some broken shells mixed with them which to be honest was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this calibre.

Location/grounds excellent. Reception staff all very good .

Apart from reception staff and one indivdual in bar/catering operation (Connor) there seemed to be a total lack of management/customer service During my stay this large hotel had several groups staying including a wedding party but they seemed incapable of addressing the needs of these groups and their independent traveller guests. This was particularly evident at breakfast which was disappointing in every respect. Great shame as this could be a fantastic place-just let down by obvious low morale amongst most staff.

What a lovely building, in beautiful grounds. The rooms were comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. The gardens are beautiful, and there are walks through woods to be enjoyed. Saw red squirrels and 2 young deer crossed the path right in front of me. The bar had a nice atmosphere and the food was very good.

The only down side was that the en-suites have a step up to them that is not obvious at first, because the bedroom carpet continues up the front of the step. On arrival, my mother did not notice the step, tripped and broke her wrist - so be very careful!

The setting is very beautiful with well kept grounds.There is plenty seating in the lounge and restaurant.The bedrooms were clean and well maintained.There were plenty waiting staff and all the staff were pleasant.I enjoyed my stay and would return. The food was very good with a genorous breakfast and the dinner menu changed daily.

I felt the spa was the only let down. The swimming pool is in need of cleaning and the steam room roof needs a wash.

Great place to relax & unwind ,comfortable room , great food , great spa experience & visiting Pitlochry was like going to the lake-district without all the crowds , we will be back !

It was very relaxing and a quiet plaace to bring my elderrly father.

Only knitpicking but the dinning room was either too warm or there was a draft blowing. Too warm when the sun is shinning.

Comfort, relaxation, open fires, general ambience

Food bland and vegetarian food depended on cheese every night, Porridge 'lumpy' and served in very small bowl - unimmaginative.

Ideal location for fishing the Tummel Very good room with spectacural view - as requested!

Spacious hotel in lovely surroundings. Friendly and attentive staff. Good food. Clean rooms.

Enjoyed our stay overall , staff were friendly enjoyed leisure facilities Room clean and comfortable

Bar was unmanned a lot of the time during our stay, bath water in our room had silt in it and was very discoloured Had a long wait to be seated for breakfast on Sunday morning and food trays at buffet were not restocked often or quickly enough.

It was like staying in a large country house not like a hotel at all and was so relaxing and comfortable with exscellent amenities and the staff were excelelnt and the food could not be faulted
