Was very friendly and inviting. Breakfast was wonderful there was so much to choose from. Was very disapointed by the fact I was unable to book any therapies as all were booked up. This was one of the main reasons for choosing Atholl Palace when we decided to visit Pitlochrie.

It was in a wonderful and quite romatic setting, where you expected to be pampered, with open fires and an unlimted supply of hot water something that is not always available in older hotels. Tea and coffee in the room was plentiful and the room itself was well decorated and spotless. The whole atmosphere was wonderful and we would recomend this hotel and praise it to anyone who asked and will put it on our list of places to revisit The food although well cooked was a little unimaginative and the waiting staff need more training

We went to The Atholl Palace Hotel in order to go to the festival Theatre .The hotel was situated in lovely grounds and only ten minutes away from the theatre. I enjoyed long mornings in the hotel including a swim. The staff were attentive and I would certainly stay at the hotel again upon our next trip to Pitlochhry

We stayed at the atholl palace hotel for one night ,8th october 2011. On booking, we asked for a room with a view, we got a view of the car park! We were given a room key and directions to make our own way to room 101, to our disapointment we had been given a room which was for disabled guests, which neither of us are! I was so looking forward to a nice soak in a luxury room, instead it was a shower in a drab excuse for a "four star hotel" room. To be perfectly honest, we have stayed in better bed and breakfast accomodation! The beds were rock hard, so a restful nights sleep we didn't have, Then there was breakfast, nothing special, and the staff were not the most welcoming, service with a smile not! My husband was half way through his toast, when his plate was swiped away, no worries, we weren't going for a second helping anyway. Value for money, well no, it wasn'T. To think that I was so excited about staying at the atholl palace hotel, what a let down!!

Very pleasant situation with a lovely view from our room. Excellent buffet breakfasts. We felt it was understaffed. Almost rude check in and dinner in the evening was mediocre.

My wife and I have stayed at the Atholl Palace several times over the years off season. We have had happy family and friends get-togethers there. This time much enjoyed the swimming pool. This time my sister and brother Edinburgh and Leith joined us overnight so it was a great together.Dinner, service breakfast was excellent. Only problem was my toast disappeared in the machine. If you find it let me know - my family thought its disappearance down a black hole was hilarious!! Jacuzzie and steam room were out of action!

Very beautifully appointed--lovely surroundings--interior decor--Good food My friends and myself had a latish dinner and retired to the lounge for coffee. We started to play bridge and after a while we felt that the night staff gentleman was hovering around noisily --we felt uncomfortable as if we should go to bed and let him get away. Importantly a companion Dr Brooks asked if he could have a nightcap--as it is his habit so to do. No! said the porter --its after 11pm!! We were annoyed at this as we have stayed in many hotels where residents may have bar service until midnight. We were so fed up that we stopped playing bridge and retired to bed

Ideal hotel for relaxing country break. Staff can be off hand. Breakfast not very good - tinned fruit on first day - no dried fruits - continental breakfast very average. Supper in the bar poor - scampi and chips - £9.50 - served with tiny side salad. Ate second night in Turkish restaurant in Pitlochry - fantastic food and value.
