Charm. History of the hotel. The fantastic views.
Position and gardens
Smell of cabbage on entering. 1970's bedroom. Well past its best years. Scary place - best avoided - we turned and ran.
The situation is second to none with lovely walks in the woods behind.
House keeping was a little bit short of expectation. No breakfast order slips and very late one morning with room service.
Room was comfortable.
Food was terrible. Had room service, burgers were like over cooked frozen ones & breakfast was not good quality. Reception staff were very pleasant. However, In morning prior to breakfast at 9.00am, the new bedding for next guests was dumped outside the room. Felt like the hotel just wanted rid of us. Not very welcoming or polite. Couldn't wait to leave.
All staff we pleasant and well mannered
There was mix up with my bill at check out, and i had to produce receipt of my payment, as they said i hadn't paid in full and i had, they then photocopied my receipts.
It was the Highlight of our scotland roundtrip with our morgans. Everything was excellent. thank you for arranging a group table all the time for breakfast and dinner. Excellent food and winecard. Always friendly staff, very helpful. Stunning view from all rooms. Very good parking situation. Thanks also to the owner Fin for taking care of us.
The bumpers on the road driving up to the Hotel are too high for our old cars.
Everything was just grand.
The hotel has so much charm and the staff were really nice and helpful. The bed was soo comfortable! Food lovely and good breakfasts.
Eggs didn't keep very warm in buffet and vegetarian sausages would be better if they were quorn ones. That's all though as thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
the food, the staff the grounds
the moner house rooms
Pitlochry is a nice town, with excellent access to the "Loch-region" of Scotland. This is hotel is one of the best in the region, in outer town with a huge garden, and that is why it is not cheap in high-time! The room had an excellent view, however "oldstyle" interior, comfortable bed and helpful staff.
The organisation of the breakfast is a bit poor, lacks staff and equipment.
Great Food along with Leisure facilities. Commanding views from dining room and our bedroom. All in all a great short break.
We had a Great stay, nothing to dislike.
Staff were very helpful and the location and amenities were brilliant.
I had a lot of trouble getting vegan food even though the restaurant was told months in advance that I had this dietary requirement.
Staff were extremely helpful and hotel charming especially with fires burning in the evenings despite it being August.
The hotel staff were professional, friendly and very welcoming, especially the restaurant and bar staff. The breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of choice and were very well presented. The museum is very interesting and worth a visit.
The dinner was awesome
This was our most expensive place and our worse! We we're put in a small basement room. The double bed was small, TV didn't work and the bathroom bin had not been emptied - hugely disappointing
Stunning scenery and beautiful grounds. Great breakfast
Room was very disappointing. Room 506 manor house. We were told that no double rooms in main hotel so we could upgrade fir no extra charge to room 506. Usually an extra £50. Git to the room and was gobsmbacked how old fashioned and run down the room looked. Huge wet patch on floor outside bathroom too. However didn't bother to hike back up to Bain hotel and change rooms. Just feel £50 was more suited to this room than £169. Breakfast was fab. Loads of choice, hit and cold buffet.
Good facilities, great views
Double bedroom & bathroom very small, & tired looking. Food very basic
Location surprisingly central, only a short few minutes walk to town. Calm and quiet overall. Breakfast was good.
Service and attention at breakfast could improve.
pool and sauna and tennis courts, bf, spacy rooms, helpful staff, great view
Environment, room, restaurant, & all the staff members--yes, all!
Cannot find any.
Wonderful grounds to explore, with many short walks available. Best breakfast we had in our 3 weeks of travel. You must take advantage of the spa, unique history and very nice, few places offer a steam room and cooling pool, anymore.
Internet was not functional from our room. Bathroom was big, but musty.
