I am a person that very much expects to get what they have paid for and
if possible a little bit more on top. It is purely for no other reason
than the fact that it is myself that I am describing myself that I am
completely averse to using either of the terms that most people would
which are "fussy", "awkward", or "over
Purely just to even attempt to create some semblance of balance, and it really is scraping the bottom of the barrel, the only thing that I can say that I did genuinely dislike was the fact that the kettle was not one of the variety that detaches from it's base so you either had to use a cup, or unplug it entirely and carry it to the tap in order to fill it.
I really do feel very foolish having written what I just have done, but bearing in mind the amount of plusses that I listed with sheer ease, I thought it only fair that I should make sure to mention the one thing that did perturb me for no more reason that I really did have to expend a fair amount of time and brain power just to be very fussy and picky!
The selection and quality of the complimentary snacks and breakfast
provided by Atini's is quite simply stunning. I have never seen such
a level of generosity, variety and thought provided by hotels that
charge upwards of £150 a night. The quality of the furnishings, the
carpets, cleanliness and general maintenance of Atini's I can say
confidently that you will not find another establishment that even comes
close. The staff are also very security and privacy conscious which
shows a genuine sense of care for their clients and their property.
Personally I would say that the real cherry on the cake is the
substantially sized, well maintained garden that actually has
furnishings that good that I'm sure most would be happy to buy for
their own home, which again shows a level of pride in their business
that in my opinion, being placed in the guest house category does not do
it justice at all. I have stayed in far worse hotels that have cost far
more money that have provided far less quality.
Try and think how many times you have ever seen the terms "luxury" and "guest house" in the same sentence? I firmly believe that you would indeed be very challenged to find a guest house with a review that even comes close to that of the one I have written here. Having just had the realisation how often I am told that I can be perceived as taking a somewhat lackadaisical approach to carrying out certain tasks, I have even surprised myself by the level of enthusiasm that I have displayed in the writing of this review. I shan't say anything further for fear of the owner putting the price up or lowering their standards because I have made them feel like they are selling themselves short. These days though it really does make a refreshing change to be so impressed by anything at all rather than just viewing it as mediocre with the proprietor doing the bare minimum just so that they justify the price that they are charging.
