The Best Western Atlantic Hotel is a modern, stylish hotel with spacious rooms just a short walk from the center of Chelmsford. It offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and has an Italian Restaurant. All the attractive guest rooms have a private bathroom and each feature a flat-screen TV and ironing facilities. Some rooms have iPod docks, while all rooms have free tea and coffee and a hairdryer. Guests can enjoy freshly prepared food in the Atlantic’s Italian restaurant, Sapori. Focusing on the cuisine of the Abruzzo region, the restaurant also offers a selected wine list. The hotel offers free use of Fitness First gym, which is located across from the hotel. Exellent value for money. Near town centre and plenty of free parking. Very well equiped room and very comfortable beds. Certrainly no complaints of any kind. Would stay again.

The hotel had my booking registered as room only despite the fact that I had agreed a price which included a fuul english breakfast. The staff then tried to charge for breakfast which was only resolved when I showed acopy of my booking form.

Bar service ! I have stayed in cheaper hotels and been more comfortable, we paid £110 for Ex double, one towel, broken shower clamp so could not shower, and very basic. I would not recommend it to anyone. Very dissapointed.......

Made two stays of 4 nights. Modern hotel with contemporary decor. Rooms much larger than I expected, although the feeling of space is enhanced by having the side of the bed very close to the wall. No lift, but bags were carried to my room on request without expectation of a tip. Free wi-fi was very welcome. Overall, a very high standard and one of the best options for the centre of Chelmsford.

My Partner had a 2 day course, whilst I spent the time shopping in the local town centre, which the hotel is perfectly located for First of all the 6ft bed is 2 single beds put together with quite a hard ridge down the middle. We had the worst night sleep ever, as the bed was so hard. It actually made my hips and shoulder hurt. I then decided to sleep on top of the duvet, which did make it slightly better. I asked the next morning if there was another room we could go to. I was told all beds are the same, and was offered a duvet to put on top wich I was thankful for. The first night we went into the hotel resteraunt, which we found fabulous, but the second night we had the same meal and was awful. We was not happy with the breakfast as it was cold,and was served on cold plates, although we went down to breakfast at 7.20.

Breakfast was very good Finding the entrance to the car park was not easy. A sign on the fence in front of the hotel would help. Had to ring the hotel for direction. The bed was very close to the wall on one side. The other side had over half the room available. Would have been better to have the bed more in the middle of the room.

Very good location as its like 10 minutes walk into the actual town center. Very nice interior design. I found the beds in the room werent very comfortable. I have stayed there twice.The first time i just thought I thought i just got the short straw and ended up with a springy bed.The second time around i was more convinced that most most had bad beds.Also the breakfast wasnt very inviting.It was very mundane.Also in the morning time there are very loud noises coming from hotel staff doing there duties.
