Very pleasant location, lovely small hotel, would stay again.
Parking a bit tight, but we managed.
High standard of resturant. Very good quality of food.
Bedroom on the tight side with washbasin in the corner, otherwise all fine.
the staff were very pleasant, room was clean comfy bed breakfast quite adequate, we didn't have a meal at the hotel but what we saw of the menu it looked very nice, value for money.
We liked everything about the hotel. The proprietor and staff was very friendly. The location was far away from all amenities, but beautiful.
We was extremely disappointed by bar closing early. On our last night we came back to the hotel at 9.30pm hoping to get a drink but the place was locked up and in darkness. We had to fumble in the dark to find the keyhole to the main door......and needless to say .... in bed for ten pm.
Arrival and check-in : simple, easy and friendly The room was clean, bright, pleasant smelling - fell in love with it immediately The food The owner and the staff were adorable Easy going, friendly atmosphere of the place
Leaving... Really sad to leave ! Apart from that, everything else I absolutely loved !
Evening meal good but felt it was a little over priced
Breakfast portions were a bit small, 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon and half a tomato. Fruit uninteresting. Not good enough
A pleasant welcome by the proprietor, and generally a comfortable stay, the hotel in a remote, quiet wooded area.
Quality of cooked breakfast a little disappointing, and choice of items limited. If you may be returning late, ask for a front door key or you may be locked out, as we were one night. However, we were let in by knocking and shouting.
The peace and quiet of the location, the old-world, rustic charm of the original buildings, the extensive, well-tended gardens, the comfortable beds and the well-appointed en-suite bathroom facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.
The chiming of the church clock (24 hours a day) and the proximity of the road with it's attendant agricultural traffic.
Restaurant is 1st class for evening meal and breakfast
the breakfast, gardens, the quaintness, friendly staff
the bells on the first night, after that, they went unnoticed
5 minutes from the bus stop. Very clean and nice room. Comfortable beds.
Was nice to get away from it all in a rural location
Staff were really friendly, nice breakfast options
Very thin walls although people weren't noisy Could have done with an outside light when we arrived back in the evening it was difficult to get the key into the lock. Breakfast on Sunday was 8-9, we did make it but couldn't have been nice if it went on a little longer even if it was just cereal / cold options

Decoration of bedroom was a bit old fashioned
Lovely location, very friendly owners and staff. I am a frequent visitor to Guernsey and always stay here. I would highly recommend Auberge Du Val hotel.
Nice area inside and out and lovely gardens.
Bar opening times were stated as 6pm-midnight but on both the Fri and Sat night upon our return to the hotel (11:15pm) the bar was closed and in darkness much to our disappointment!
location, quietness, quaintness price
stairs were difficult. struggled to get the suitcase up.
Excellent accommodation and friendly staff
Excellent restaurant - good set-price lunch menu Good comfortable rooms Handy location right by bus stop to town and airport
My room was right above the restaurant and main entrance door, so was quite noisy in the evening, and a lot of cigarette smoke came in through the window from people smoking outside. However, this did not significantly spoil my time here, and I would overall highly recommend this hotel.
Staff and facilities
Location is a little hard to find especially as UK SATNAV's do not perform well in the Channel Isles.
Room was excellent , free WiFi , Spotless throughout the hotel Friendly staff
Poor parking , eating at hotel was pricey , Breakfast was adequate , well cooked but small portions 1rasher of bacon and 1 sausage 2 eggs looked lost on plate.
Simple but beautiful rooms
The wifi was very poor
The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable. The gardens are beautiful. The restaurant is to be recommended.
No shower in the bathroom. OK, a bathtub and a mixer-tap shower head was available, but it took me forever to adjust the water to a comfortable temperature. A shower curtain would also not go amiss.
Great and very peaceful location. Welcoming and comfortable.
it was like staying in a cave
