I really can't think of anything that I didn't like! I am an early riser on business and could possibly foresee mayhem at breakfast with guests coming in later but at 6.30am I didn't experience that.
The price & feedback score initially attracted me but when I arrived I couldn't have been more pleased - The kerb appeal was instantly reassuring, and then the ease of parking made things better and then the reception staff just confirmed I had made the right choice - But then - once I got to the room I just couldn't believe my luck! The whole thing was great - I stayed for just one night but will definitely stay again.
Tiny thing for me was the bed was very hard this time so not good for me but this is a personal thing and some people like firm beds so not an issue for them.
I've stayed at this lovely hotel before so I'm a returning guest and it was up to its usual high standard! Welcoming, friendly and very attentive staff. Lovely lounging area around foyer with separate bar and restaurant, food was delicious, plenty of free private on site parking, the ensuite rooms are lovely modern and immaculate with flatscreen TV, work desk area, complimentary tea / coffee / toiletries / wifi (which works well throughout complex)
The bed was extremely comfortable, nice queit location and great ground to go for a walk
It seemed a little warm at night but really there was very little to complain about.
We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and each time have been totally impressed by the staff. They are exceptional!
Nothing to dislike, save perhaps an easy chair in the room for reading.
1. Location---our daughter lives nearby, and I can conveniently get to Tottenham for home matches. 2. Excellent buffet breakfast, big choice, well-presented, and courteous service. 3. Massive car-park. 4. Very welcoming reception.
Bedroom was too warm
We previously stayed before the refurbishments. The hotel was really lovely and would stay again.
Noise from M1
Location of room to outside for walking dog. View from window Great shower.
Barkeeper -ominous unfriendly. Obscure receptionist as well *
Close to Motorway & Sainsbury's Check out by 12h (breakfast & coffee in bed) -but duty called 6h. Nice list of cocktails. Purple armchairs in bar & design are quite easy.
The fact that when booking on the website, it did not specify that the breakfast was extra. I thought I was booking bed and breakfast...!!! The shower, although very nice, let water run over the bathroom floor, which became rather slippery. A higher lip on the entry side would stop this happening..!!!
The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious. The bed extremely comfortable.
The breakfast price is very expensive.
Really helpful staff, clean, comfortable and well maintained rooms.
The room was like a sauna and it didn't help that the window only opened a few inches. I would suggest air conditioning or extend the length of the window opening.
Stayed for two nights and were very surprised when we first arrived because we weren't expecting much for the price we paid but fortunately it was amazing. The staff were lovely and polite and the room was simple but was very clean and still very nice. (So don't let the pictures out you off). The absolute best thing of all which we again was not expecting, was the food!! Absolutely stunning food. Great hotel.
wifi charge, lack of plugs sockets in room
Staff, location, room had good shower comfy bed
Great service especially reception. Very friendly and genuine. Not robots! Warm cosy rooms with comfy beds and very very clean! 2nd visit and will definitely be back!
Shower didn't work properly had to change room, kids beds were not made up as requested
Room was nice,
Comfortable and clean rooms, helpful staff and a great price
Room was nice, although we would have preferred a little more room as we had our 9yr old and a large golden retriever. We were also put at the absolute furthest away from the restaurant and main area, with no other access out, so when we had to take the dog out for a walk or to be let out before bed, or indeed during the night, we had to completely get dressed and walk half a mile to reception to get outside. No air con, so on an unexpectedly hot night, we could only open the window about 7 inches. Restaurant staff could have been a little clearer about breakfast instructions, as we couldn't find certain plates or what the procedure was for asking for a fried egg as opposed to the scrambled which was already out. We had to ask for top ups of certain things also. - A little too relaxed for my liking. For a one night stay, we felt it was a little pricey.
Thought it was a lovely touch to give us a doggie basket, bowl and some boneo biscuits for our dog on arrival (although basket was too small), but it was the thought that counts.
Everyone on reception are so welcoming and helpful. As we only stayed less than 24 hours we did not really meet other staff.
You know what youget
Bedroom only had a shower and was told they didn't do baths, except for two rooms. Power cut in the evening. Wi-fi access annoying as had to log back on continually.
The receptionist called me Claire, that is not my name.
Bar atmosphere was dreadful
Reception staff were lovely
We payed separately for breakfast which seemed to baffle staff (snd I felt very embarrassed that we didn't include breakfast on our booking). We ended up paying around £23.00 for a full English each and a cup of tea (prebookers for breakfast were told to help themselves to the buffet breakfast laid out where as we were asked to pick.) It was lovely but very expensive.
The bedroom walls are a bit thin!
The restaurant The staff The overall decor
No real bad thing to say other than occasionally hearing the door in the hall shut in the night
The hotel was beautifully presented and facilities were great.
