shower was more powerful than last time
bed was hard, pillows where floppy and flat, dirt on dressing gown, water marks on shower
I think this is a good hotel which represents excellent value for money. The reception staff were very helpful (the only staff we really had contact with) and the rooms are clean and have everything you would expect.
If you are given one of the rooms that overlook the lawn it is a very long walk from reception. There is a lift but it is quite a hike through numerous corridors (with your bags)and I would think could be a problem for people with poor mobility.
Met our needs
Layout, steps up and down, not on level. Very difficult with suitcases. breakfast average, no choice of eggs and beans cold. Staff had poor english.
Room was lovely and the location and grounds are superb
Backed onto the marquee with a Xmas party going on. Wasn't informed of this. Although all went quite at 12:30
Clean, Good food Near M1 Quiet
Staff came unglued when I asked for my breakfast to be put on my bill, they had taken a pre auth on my card so what's the big deal? Truth is, my room was the furthest room they have from reception and I left my wallet. Staff were rude about it. Puts me off going there again.
Bar staff late evening were very accommodating and welcoming. They were engaged with customers. Good TV and room was comfortable.
Receptionist was busy and multi-tasking (taking phone calls) while booking us in. We booked a twin, but twin was not available so had to upgrade to an Executive so that we got a bigger bed as we were told the double in standard room was a small double.
Just what we needed
The amount of Xmas party's on but this was to be expected due to the time of year
The food in the restaurant was exceptional, the pheasant was cooked to perfection, loved the chips. Waiter was very attentive and polite.
One member of staff was very polite at night there was nobody there!
Paid for a family room and was squeezed into a small double. Utterly disgusted we could barely open the sofa bed (single) without it banging the tv stand, because it was so cramped against the combed. Will never stay here again!!!
The room was quiet even, as it was, on a Saturday night. The power shower was perfect with a generously sized cubicle.
Only one set of towels, a mistake said the receptionist on the following morning. We could not get an answer from receptionon from our room on the night.
Good Beds, friendly staff, through the night access
The menu could have been more varied
The room felt dirty, hadn't been dusted, looked like the bed had not been changed, the tv remote was soo dirty I didn't want to touch it. The shower was terrible and I was very glad to leave.
location, pleasant room, friendly staff.
dinner menu could do with a little more variety.
Stayed for two nights. Staff very helpful. Food good. Beds comfortable. What more could you want?
brilliant, would certainly stay there again, indeed will be staying there again.
Good value for money, very clean and comfortable room, helpful friendly staff. Excellent position and price for a visit to Hemel Hemstead or St Albans. Will definitely be going back as convenient to family
If your disabled ask for a room near reception as ther are lots of steps and it a big hotel with the rooms spread out. Noisy corridors in the evening when other residents going to bed, but that's the same in most hotels to be honest people just need to be more thoughtful and not stand outside chatting.
The friendliness of all the staff
The hike to our bedroom from the reception/brasserie/bar area. The place is like a rabbit warren despite being well signed
Greeted with chocolates and water, very clean and comfy beds! Very cute ginger cat that chills outside too!
Staff and room
Long walk to room it was a bit of a maze Cost the local cab service charged for a local trip.
Convenient for area activities
The Hotel was extremely nice, very clean and comfortable and the Staff could not have been more helpful. I would certainly stay again.
Clean room, clean bathroom, good breakfast, friendly staff. Would be fine for a traveler who just wants a bed to sleep in.
Bed was not very comfortable, could hear the traffic from the road even though window was facing a courtyard. Biggest negative was my room was a HIKE away from the reception - down 3 hallways, up/down 3 sets of steps (and this was after taking the elevator up one level).
We received a warm friendly welcome upon arrival. The family room that we stayed was very large, clean and well decorated and the main bed was enormous and very comfortable. Breakfast offered a good variety of options. We like to try different places, but we will definitely be staying at Aubrey Park again.
Only complaint room too hot
