Location, food, staff, quality of accommodation, landscaping on the premises.
Overall nothing to complain about.
Convenience of the hotel. Scenery was great. Later times for breakfast was good. Room was in a good location. Plenty of things to do outwith and within the hotel. Go back again in the summer.
Not being told that the Cruize bar was being closed for a xmas night and we would have to make alternative eating arrangements. When eating in Eighteen 69 we were advised to order 3 dishes each as they were small portions only to find this was not the case and we were left with some uneaten dishes, and having to pay for them.
Brilliant location. Really good food. Super friendly, helpful and well mannered staff.
I like the situation, very quiet and stunning scenery to look at from breakfast room. Room very comfortable, plenty of hot water. Restaurants have good choices and staff very friendly.the pool was lovely and very quiet too.
Decor was drab, but I suppose 'modern '.We were in the new part. I would like to see the decor in the old house.?
Lovely hotel. Bedroom spacious, beds comfortable.Pool was excellent.Spa beauty room was beautiful.Beauty therapist excellent.Breakfasts - great choice-all delicious.
Bedroom too hot. Dinner service very slow and then meal was cold, was returned to kitchen and came back again cold.
The staff were friendly and helpful without exception
The en-suite bathroom could have done with a little more space for laying out toilletries. The position of the shelf above the WC invites disaster!
Lovely location. Well appointed spacious room. Excellent spa facilities. Great food. Friendly and welcoming staff.
There was nothing to criticise.
Friendly and helpful staff Good food Quiet, peaceful location
The pool was cold No family rooms available when booking online
staff friendliness spa facilities food
only having 2 days to enjoy the resort; we will be back
Relaxing spa and friendly staff made us feel very welcome and had a great couple of days.
Having to leave!!
Overall atmosphere, surroundings, Views and spacious. Good location.
Previously stayed at main hotel didn't realise this time was in resort hotel. Family orientated but for couple with no kids not ideal noisy in bar and meals at times . Would stay in main hotel nxt time .
Loved the choice of pools and facilities, lovely and clean, friendly staff, vip pooch is a brilliant option! Brambles and 1869 served lovely food and with very polite and professional staff. The grounds have been kept immaculate and we loved that it was hidden away from the road.
We were woken up and kept awake by those in the room above us due to squeaky floorboards. I required one single sanitary towel and had to pay £3.25 for a large pack as singles were not available - I would have expected essential toiletries to be available at the front desk for emergencies but alas they are not. We ended up leaving our Caesar salads despite paying £10.95 for them because there was just far to much dressing on them for us. In true Arran style the weather drenched us but there is not dryer available on site for hotel guests.
Nice spacious room, very good restaurants. Arran Adventure situated on hotel grounds: lots of fun.
Very poor Wifi connection.
Like the fact that I can bring the dog next time and not be afraid of a cool welcome. The doggy entrance was a talking point for our visitors from New Zealand and a picture of the VIP entrance has been circulated across the world.
The suite!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. No negatives from me!
Moving from the suite to a twin room!!!
Auchrannie offered a perfect resort destination for all ages for grandma, mum, auntie and youngster. Fabulous large bedrooms, stunning pool and gym, gorgeous food and friendly staff made our four day stay memorable. Location for exploring the delightful island of Arran couldn't be better. Highly recommended for all ages.
Spa and spa staff Location of the hotel
Majority of staff ignored us No a/c or fan in very hot room Workmen started up a crane outside 0830Hrs Saturday Loo flush not working Room not made up by 1630Hrs tv stopped working.
Had family staying with us for duration of Commonwealth Games and a visit to Arran with an overnight stay at your hotel was designed to recharge batteries between events. From pickup to drop off at the ferry terminal the experience was as good as the weather. The staff and meals were excellent and the next visit will be for a longer period.
Visit was too short to allow us to make use of all the facilities or to explore the Island.
the views were stunning. The staff were helpful.
The room was old fashioned and needs modernising . There was nowhere to adjust heating and it was too hot to sit in or to sleep. There was no fan working in bathroom and opening the door meant steam activated fire alarm. I had continental breakfast but was still charged for full breakfast. We have stayed in many hotels all over the world and all in all this was not value for money. Next time we will go back to the Douglas Hotel in Arran which is first class in every department.
The facilities are excellent, great pools, steam rooms sauna etc. Location has great access to the surrounding countryside. Great food and the choice at breakfast was extensive.
That we only stayed 3 nights, could easily have stayed longer to make use of the spa and sporting facilities
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms very pleasant and nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. Public areas are tastefully furnished and relaxing to spend time in. I also really enjoyed the lovely hill views and being surrounded by beautiful countryside, although only a short walk from Brodick Bay.
Nothing at all!
Really lovely room - very friendly staff - leisure facilities -
Did not take my car onto the island, and didn't realise there was a bus available from hotel.no taxis available.
Location facilities good food grounds rooms excellent shower! complementary bottled water fridge in room
very limited activities for small (under 6years) children. Not all menus have a child menu - have to ask for those that do. Receptionists are not all informative and couldn't answer basic resort and island questions - more than one member of staff. Customers are treated differently Customer complaints not dealt with well Resort doesn't take responsibility for their errors - over charging, charging things not declared beforehand, misinformation (big things!). Some things not reflective of 4*.
Great welcome, lots of helpful information about resort facilities and some excellent staff in the restaurant
Perhaps a few more signs to point out facilities around the resort. The Tapas restaurant was not clearly signed or easy to find.
