The location of the Hotel at Fort Augustus made it very easy for us to visit most of the villages, Lochs and attractions that are available in the area. The hotel owners were very friendly and helped us also in planning better our destintions. A very nice and comfortable room. Good breakfast to start off the day with. Would recommend it to anyone, especially ideal for those who want to stay in a tranquill and peaceful area.

It was too expensive and was not worth staying there. The charges should be reduced to a half or two third of present level. When I rang a door bell on the front door, the landlady was talking on the phone. She did not stop talking for a while and I was obliged to wait for her. In our room coffee cups were not clean. We found some dusts or residue inside.

The staff were very nice and helpful. My boys enjoyed the pool table and the dog. The setting was beautiful. I expected it to be a country house but I must say it is a house in the country.I Did find this a bit miss leading. The walk into the village is quite long. After a long drive we expected a bar with food.

Very friendly, family-run place in a beautiful, rural setting. Room was clean and comfortable and good breakfast. Just a bit too far from Fort Augustus to walk. Although we really enjoyed staying here, it seems like it might be more suited to families than couples looking for a romantic getaway.

pleasant veiw of the countryside, pleasant staff, nice clean room. We were a couple with our 7 year old granddaughter. The hotel did not have a family room, but could put another bed in the room for our granddaughter. When we arrived we discovered the extra bed was actually a camp bed which sank in the middle when my granddaughter slept on it, they charged us an extra £30.00 per night for this, on top of £ 170.00 we had already paid for two nights. We felt this was a bit excessive.

Welcoming family and a lovely location. An ideal spot for traveling around the Highlands of Scotland. We had an incident where one of our party needed a doctor during the night. There was no emergency number available for a doctor, so we reluctantly used the 999 service to call for an ambulance, when probably a doctor would have dealt with the problem.

The hotel is in a lovely quiet situation in wonderful countryside. Nothing was too much trouble - a group us us came back drenched after climbing Ben Nevis and they tool all our wet clothes, boots, etc. and had them all dry by the morning. The hotel does evening meals that we didn't try as the nearby town of Fort Augustus has a good selection of restaurants/pubs etc.

A true country house in the Scottish Highlands. Comfortable home with an excellent breakfast, including fresh eggs. Amazing views and a fun farm atmosphere. The kids loved the animals and the hosts are very friendly to show them around the farm. We would definitely stay there again.

there is animals, we arrived after 8.00 pm but the staff was there for us and prepared some dinner. the house and lands looked very nice and clean. the deco was typical as for a highland country house, we loved that. We booked two rooms which were next to each other. there was a game room. the facilities looked new and very clean, high quality. Very helpful staff! they stopped the hitting during the night, a march night in highlands is not that hot without hitting, we were frozen. The bed was not very comfortable. they had not much stock for food and drinks. It was kind of expensive for the location and you could say it was not the high season.
