Loved the chine! Shops and facilities within walking distance. Lovely sea views! Went to eat at The Steamer on the first night, had a beautiful meal with lots to eat! Love Shanklin.
Love Shanklin. Have been coming here with my family since my son was 4 years old (he is now 11) and it never let us down. Shanklin is super family friendly. It is tranquil and safe. There are many attractions available for both adults and children of all ages. Great location,the town is close to other attractions such as Robin Hill etc. Lots of old buildings,romantic tea rooms and the Chine Walk is a gem. This picturesque town has something in offer for everyone!

The hotel is located in old Shanklin which is delightful. The main part of Shanklin is run down and not appealing. Despite this it has an excellent beach and would be a good place for a beach holiday with the right weather.

The beachfront and beach were lovely, accessible from the clifftop area via a lift suitable for everyone. Lots of places to sit and eat and drink. The far end of the beach past the Fisherman's cottage pub was dog friendly with a wide flat sandy area. Shanklin chine was lovely to walk through and explore as was the old village full of charming old shops and buildings. Shanklin town centre was within a short walk with a mix of shops some areas did look a little tired but we found virtually all places were dog friendly. The station was only a short walk from our hotel with a regular reliable service to Ryde. Using the Trainline app enabled us to get flexible day returns at reduced costs and we could hop on and off along the journey. Overall a very pleasant and well positioned place to stay, the hotel and staff were wonderful very welcoming and accommodating who made as much fuss of our dog as us.KeithUnited Kingdom

There was a moderate supply of toiletries save for the complete lack of conditioner. 4. My usual breakfast waiter was very affable and added a nice touch to my soft-boiled eggs and soldiers. 5. A swimming pool was available (but it was too cold to use). 6. Getting into Shanklin Old Village took 8 minutes on foot. 7. The No.3 bus ran very regularly. 8. The room was immaculately clean and nicely decorated, with everything that we needed during our two night stay. They can also help with ferry travel, offering a discount on the price. There is parking at the train station near by, and John gave us a free parking voucher valid for our stay. Shanklin is a lovely little town with the chine and old village within 15 minutes walking distance.

The food is great, very tasty breakfast menu (particularly the scrambled eggs!) and the one dinner we ate was delicious. Staff are professional and friendly. Free parking is handy. The hotel is in a fab location, close to the beach, restaurants etc.

The place was clean and quiet. The included breakfast was good to start the day. It was also close to the beach and near one of the bus stops, so we had no problem getting where we wanted to go from the hotel by bus. I would highly recommend this place to other travelers.
