Quiet good Hotel. The owner Alan and his family are marvelous, Breakfast is good and sure I would stay again here .

Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to make my stay pleasant.

There was no phone in my room although the owner had no hesitation in offering me the use of hers. I was on a mercy trip from Canada and my own phone didn't work). I also found the shower difficult to operate.

Rooms were lovely and clean, and the hotel was minutes from the wedding reception we'd come to attend. Staff were very helpful.

Was not as represented on the Internet site, poor decoration, in need of a lot of tlc to bring the overall experience up to an acceptable standard. Expensive for the service offered. No restaurant available. Staff were very helpfull and considerate. Would not use the hotel again.

Bedroom was ok showeroom excellent

Restuarant was permantley closed and this was one reason for booking. Carpark building and staff were a little untidy

This is a family run hotel (mother, father, son) that makes a lot of effort to please. By arrangement we checked in early and found everything ready for us. The rooms are excellent, clean and very well prepared. The lady who services the rooms has an amazing skill I folding the towels into swans and other animals. Unfortunately at the time of our visit, the mother was quite ill and while the accommodation was being maintained as usual the restaurant and bar services had been suspended. Breakfast was available as usual, even if the lack of an experienced pair of hands did show a bit. We hope that this problem has a good outcome but in the meantime and although the other members of the family are keeping things going very ably, visitors should check what will be available. There are several good restaurants in Dunfermline. The access to the hotel is indeed off the Halbeath Road but the hotel is not on the Halbeath Road. It is located about 100 mtrs down a narrow lane between a bungalow and a hedge opposite Arnold Clark just above some traffic lights. WiFi is on the slow side but available throughout the hotel

The area immediately around the hotel is surrounded by trees and there is no view from any of the rooms.

Convenient Location

Great service, arrived very late and they gave me a great sandwich. The next morning i had work to do so i was given a later breakfast cooked just or me. A great independent hotel. We need more of these.

Resaltar como el dueño del hotel se preocupaba de atender a sus clientes de manera muy profesional a la vez que muy cercana. No se cansaba de preguntarnos si todo era de nuestro agrado. Cercano, amable, con muchas ganas de agradar, ha sido un placer haberlo conocido. No dudaríamos en volver si tuvieramos la oportunidad!!!

Only one thing was,no hairdryer in room

The owner was very helpful - booking me taxis etc, and breakfast was prompt and you could easily ask for more if you wanted to. Auld mill house room was very clean and comfortable

not so keen on the wooden floor outside rooms - noisy when other people walking to and from rooms and i was next to entrance door.
