The apartments were very central only a minutes walk to the royal mile, clean and comfortable. The furnishings and decor were to a very high standard. (The towels provided were so thick and fluffy). The apartment was very light and although there were six adults there was plenty of space. The additional bathroom was fantastic. We had the front bedroom which overlooks a busy road it has the original sash windows so we had a lot of noise especially from the travel inn over the road as the people there had to stand at the front door to smoke. THis meant that we had continuous noise until 3.30 in the morning and the traffic would start up again at about 6.30 so as you can imagine not a good nights sleep even in a very comfortable bed. The apartment could really do with double or triple glazing. |

The location - close to everything in Edinburgh. Nice apartment, spacious and warm. Rather noisy because it was on the main road and it was in an apartment block so lots of neighbours. The mattress on the double bed was a bit lumpy! |

It was in a very central location, just one minute's walk to the royal mile. It is a very clean and safe area. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equiped. There were two bathrooms and two showers, with towels. There was a smell in the apartment that did not go away no matter how much we ventilated it. It was not very strong though so it wasn't so bad. The room overlooking the street is extremely noisy, above and beyond what you would normally expect from a city centre room. The noise of the cars driving too fast on the cobbles outside, and the tourists returning to the Travel Lodge across the road, shouting and drunk, every night of the week, make it impossible to sleep. The windows are about a hundred years old so do nothing to block out the sound. If they updated these, it would make a huge difference. I could not sleep in this room at all, but I was lucky enough to have a spare bed in another room to use as the other rooms are quiet. |

My family were together to celebrate my daughter's impending marriage. We thouroughly enjoyed our meal at a local restaurant about fifteen minutes away from the apartment. We also enjoyed the shopping that was available on the Royal Mile and Princes Street. I found the bed a bit lumpy and too soft, the pillows were too high for me too. |

We liked the cleaniness the nearness to the city and to the seaside. The location and view were ideal for the city The entrance to the apartment is very off putting as is the fact that there is no fire excape apart from the front door. We were on the top floor and would have had diffculty in getting out. The stairs would be too much if you had walking difficulties in older guests. |

Could have done with nets at the front bedroom window as right opposite the travelodge. Double would have been an advantage to cut out street noise. Other than that excellent accommodation Lot of accumulated dust under the bed |

It was well equipped and comfortable. Ideal for a family break. Was met by representative promptly who was very friendly and informative. We were not preached to about how 'to leave the apartment as you find it' as we usually are and were not asked to leave a returnable deposit for cleaning etc which was nice as responsible adults we would leave it like that anyway. Front windows to apartment were letting in wind which would have been very cold if it was winter! |

The apartment has been renovated to a nice modern design but the fixtures of the apartment need to be seen to. the bathroom rail was broken, the bath mats was dirty, the bath was not cleaned properly, the mat in the bath was gross and dirty underneath. As for the bedrooms, the two beds are about to fall apart, one of the beds are broken and not been fixed yet. the pillows were as though they were none existent as they were so thin. The appartment has alot of potential as situated in the heart of the fringe but i would not recommend this flat to anyone as I just don't think it worth the money |

The location, just in the city town of Edinburg, and views from the apartment are its best. The sofa bed in the dinning room is not enough comfortable for sleeping (the matrix is quite thin). |

Nothing. I don`t know anything about other apartments but this one is just a nightmare! Bathroom was too small, you just couldn`t move there, dirty bath, broken bed in double bedroom, both bedrooms view was just unacceptable (pile of rubbish at the backyard) |

Convenient to tourist attractions in Edinburgh (15 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle). Self-catering was good for families. Accommodation for 6 but 2 beds were fold out couches in the living room which was awkward. |

The location of the Royal Mile apartment couldn't be more perfect. The facilities were fantastic for the price, and there was plenty of room. Checking in and out was a breeze. |

Very spacious. Being a cottage we had the flexibility of cooking our own food and not having other guests making noise in the surroundings. Quite a lot actually. The lady who came to show us the cottage was very demanding in regards to looking after the cottage when actually they were not providing the same standards they asked us to maintain. For example we needed to leave the cottage clean as there is no room service however the cottage was not very clean. Microwave was disgusting with food stuck to its interior plus a horrible smell. All the knives were completely blunt being very difficult to cook properly as not even could chop onions with them. Cutlery dirty with crumbs of food in the drawer and inside the washing machine. Impossible to have shower or a bath in the ground floor bathroom, no pressure at all and toilet flush broken!!! Poor shower downstairs, could not change the temperature plus a blockage making us switch off the shower now and then. Toilet seat cracked which in health and safety regulations is inadmissible!!! Finally very noisy floor not to mention not being close to the centre the lack of parking area is a very negative point as we went to Scotland by car. |

Great set up. All mod cons, loved the freedom of having our own flat, rather than staying in a b&b or hotel. Very homely. |

The apartment was in a good central location within walking distance of the bus and train station. It was clean and spacious and perfect if there are a few people staying. No complaints! |
