Very spacious. Being a cottage we had the flexibility of cooking our own food and not having other guests making noise in the surroundings. Quite a lot actually. The lady who came to show us the cottage was very demanding in regards to looking after the cottage when actually they were not providing the same standards they asked us to maintain. For example we needed to leave the cottage clean as there is no room service however the cottage was not very clean. Microwave was disgusting with food stuck to its interior plus a horrible smell. All the knives were completely blunt being very difficult to cook properly as not even could chop onions with them. Cutlery dirty with crumbs of food in the drawer and inside the washing machine. Impossible to have shower or a bath in the ground floor bathroom, no pressure at all and toilet flush broken!!! Poor shower downstairs, could not change the temperature plus a blockage making us switch off the shower now and then. Toilet seat cracked which in health and safety regulations is inadmissible!!! Finally very noisy floor not to mention not being close to the centre the lack of parking area is a very negative point as we went to Scotland by car. |

Great set up. All mod cons, loved the freedom of having our own flat, rather than staying in a b&b or hotel. Very homely. |

The apartment was in a good central location within walking distance of the bus and train station. It was clean and spacious and perfect if there are a few people staying. No complaints! |

Excellent location and plenty of space in the lounge and one of the bedrooms. Generally good kitchen facilities. The cleaning was cursory - layer of dust under the beds and we were visited by a mouse on one of the evenings. New windows and internal doors inexpertly fitted so the bathroom window would not close and the door hinges would benefit from some lubrication as they made a terrible noise. |

Having the space of the apartment right in the city center. Much better with kids than a small hotel room. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. We arrived slightly early and the staff was very agreeable and helpful to get us checked in readily. No coffee maker. At first glance the street and stairwell of the apartment bldg are not very pleasing, but once you get inside you realize how nice it is. |

Central location on main bus route. Clean, bright apartment. The apartment was double glazed so it was warm and quiet considering its location. The bathroom was small and particularly the toilet was crammed in. |

Our stay was most pleasant. It was situated right in the centre with easy access around Edinburgh. The apartment was nice, modern and clean. There were only a couple of minor things Auld Reekie Apartments might be able to improve the guest experience. The two single beds were very squeky making it hard to fall asleep because when you turn in bed it was quite annoying that the springs made this noise. |

Extreamly clean.Good value for money. Good location walking distance to everything. Busstop to airport just around the corner. Third floor, no lift. Bad old windows, drafthy. Front bedroom can not be used due to extreamly heavy traffic on the street below. |

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment very much. It was big enough for my family of 5 (3 adults and 2 children). Apartment was clean and spacious. We had a lovely time cooking in the apartment. Apartment was central and easy to get around to the places we wanted to go to. It could be tiring for some folks, especially those with knee problems to climb the steep staircases to the apartment since there are no lifts. |

Central location was perfect for accessing all city attractions. The beds were horrible. Neither of us were able to get a good nights sleep on them. Absolutley horrible. |
