The view from my room was wonderful with the sea only 30 yards away. Really quiet, nice staff. Reasonably priced and well chosen wine list. Comfortable bed. Really dated decor (60's), some distinctly shabby - flaking paint front door, flickering light on stairs, dirty glass in room(orange juice mouthprint), average food, fermenting grapefruit juice. Far too expensive for the overall quality at £100 single occupancy, no wifi in room or even telephone. Not asked if I wanted newspaper. I found the shop 300yds away which opened @ 8 and had all papers so not difficult to provide that service!

Use this response in answer to the next question we did not like the hotel Whilst located in an enviable position the hotel represented poor value for money . The staff tried very hard and were pleasant but the hotel itself is in need of a overhaul. The menus were tired and overpriced. We ate in each evening and did not have a really impressive meal at all. other hostelries in the area were able to provide better food and were less expensive. The hotel has old RAC rating of two stars it is time this was reviewed. Of all the hotels we have stayed in using booking.com this was the least enjoyed and will temper our future use of your web service.

Beautify location on the shore of Loch Ewe. Very friendly and welcoming staff. First class food. Modern feel bedroom that looked like it had been recently refurbished. I will definitely be returning.

We booked the best room in the house and it suited our needs well, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Thought it was rather expensive for what it was.

Large room with excellent view - huge bathoom. Waitress almost laughed when we asked for a 'vegetarian version' of cooked breakfast - and returned with two eggs and two half tomatoes on a plate ...which we should have returned. The food disappointed us oversall and one evening option was inedible.

Dining room was very nice and the evening meal very nice On our tour of Scotland this was the most exprensive room and the most cramped. It was impossible to pass each other at the end of the double bed and the storage was tiny if you wanted to unpack.

Peace and Quiet Bit of a health and safety issue with 3 steps down to bathroom from bedroom. Could catch some people out in middle of the night.

Beautiful location on Loch Ewe with marvellous views. Privately owned hotel with friendly staff and a good welcome. Rooms of a high standard, well furnished with up-to-date bathrooms. Dinner menu in the main Zetland restaurant would benefit from a wider choice of traditional Scottish main courses. Residents' lounge OK, but a live fire would be welcome in cool or wet weather! (These comments not intended to detract from generally favourable impression of this hotel, which deserves to be better known.)

It was in a tranquil setting, the people were very friendly and the food was good. Drinks were more expensive than I thought. The room, although clean was disappointing because it was supposed to be a double room, but instead was two singles pushed together!!

Spectacular views. We booked two rooms, the standard double room was quite small however if you get the opportunity to book the delux loch view double its well worth the extra!

Great location for a road trip in the Highland: close to Loch Ewe and Guinard's Bay, with a nice seaview from the restaurant and the veranda. Quiet and relaxing. A good surprise. Shower was not easy to use and hot water was not really hot.

View from the room window is fantastic only if you manage to book front room. If your room is back view it is not that good. Room is clean bed is fine too. There is no cafe or restrant near by so you have not much choice except eat in Hotel restrant. Food are Fine. I enjoy the most beautiful sunset on the sea in front of hotel.
