Clean and quiet hotel, best thing was close to Castle, Stadium and the Centre ali the shoppings and easy to find Restaurants and anything you would need and think of. The best was we didn't needed to get bus, train or taxi to get anywhere. Room 11 that's it.
Location, cleanliness and comfort
The room was very clean and compact for a single room, with shower. I enjoyed the facilities, such as tea, coffee but some little snacks would be appreciated. Especially first thing in the mornings
The neighbouring rooms their walls very thin and noisy house guests. Common sense dictates that guests should enter the premises in particular at a late hour with some decorum.
Good location. 10 min into ciuty. Even to Cardiuff bay you can walk along the river (30 min). Comfortable Room. Wifi excellent.
Bad heating; room was chilly. English Breakfast very basic; had much better Breakfast elsewhere.
Room was really clean, Beds were made every day.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Room warm and well equipped. Breakfast Excellent and Allergies well catered for.
'Double' Bed was very small and shelf at head height made sitting up impossible. Room small for 2 people but very small but would have been impossible if the 3rd bed had been opened up - should be a single room. The slopes in the Attic room we had made walking around very difficult.
Staff very friendly. Good location
Communal toilet. Would have been nicer to have a toilet in the room but was still a lovely room
Wi Fi Speed Size of room Location
Got what we wanted : )
Location and cleanliness. Kitchenette facilities were a bonus.
Shower was very hot and difficult to turn down but otherwise great.
Arrived there early of estimated time of arrival rain was lashing not allowed to check in need to comeback after 2 hrs
The stuff were very helpful and pleasant room was self contained
Stayed in the austins guest house apartment and literally could not fault it. Perfect for a group of friends wishing to stay together
I stayed in one the superior rooms overlooking the River Taff. It was spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and had everything I needed to make my stay enjoyable. The small kitchen was a God-send as I could prepare simple safe meals when catering for my gluten-free diet.
Unfortunately the road outside was litter strewned, shame, as this was such a contrast with the cleanliness of Austin's. Avoid the scrambled eggs (rubbery) when having the full English breakfast. Otherwise for £7.00, the breakfast is good value.
Everything...location. breakfast. Comfort. Cleanliness.
Only thing i can say is i would have liked a hand towel as well as a bath towel
It was a very clean apartment with comfortable beds/
We had just a shower cabin in our room, so it was a little too intimate. So we showered in the public bathroom downstairs.
2nd time stayed here fantastic & very cheap
Staff was very friendly, really short walk to all the shops, right in the city centre near lots of restaurants and pubs, good value.
My curtains were half-falling off and some of the drawers in my closet were broken as well.
Everything! What a gorgeous little guest house, felt like a home from home! Comfiest bed ever, lovely staff, FANTASTIC location (just 10 minutes walk to city centre along the river) I can't stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay here! Will definitely visit again
Nothing! Only thing to note is the on-site car park is quite dinky so get there early so it's easy to park :)
Sweet location, less than 10 minutes from the megabus stop, and two toilets for 5 adults was fantastic!
Poor pressure in the shower although it was hot
Good location in city.
The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows provided were terrible. The bathroom was extremely cold as a window had been locked open (the night we stayed was windy, rainy and close to minus temperatures)
The location is quiet and convienent to access to city centre and cardiff university
I stayed in room 11 where the wall insulation was very poor and you could hear people coughing in the next room. The radiator kept making a horrible ticking noise throughout the night. The shower room was clean, but there was a blood stain on double bed sheet under pillow and makes you suspect that they may not wash the bed sheets properly. The worst thing is that I was asked to pay a £20 deposit for the car parking permit, and the next day I returned the permit, only to my shock to recieve an envelope with £10 written in the corner and with ONLY £10 inside. I then phoned the lady who took the £20 deposit and she denied that she took £20 and said that I only gave her £10 which is unbelievable as I am 110% CERTAIN that I only had all £20 notes in my wallet and gave her the room fee with another £20 plus £8 coins, eventually I got the £20 back from the landlord, my advice to people is that you must demand a receipt for any cash paid or you may experience some funny business there. BE CAREFUL!
Free car parking in central city positioning
Could hear other residents
central location,free parking.
Very clean and good location would stay there again
The wifi code wasn't available and didn't really see no one to ask for it also order breakfast and the lady said in the morning it wasn't posible there was a language barrier with the lady but the bloke spoke good English
