Well located in Cardiff city center, this Premier Inn features modern rooms, with some offering views out over the city. The shops of Queens Street are just 330 ft away.
Score from 1052 reviews Excellent
Staff was very friendly, really short walk to all the shops, right in the city centre near lots of restaurants and pubs, good value.
My curtains were half-falling off and some of the drawers in my closet were broken as well.
Everything! What a gorgeous little guest house, felt like a home from home! Comfiest bed ever, lovely staff, FANTASTIC location (just 10 minutes walk to city centre along the river) I can't stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay here! Will definitely visit again
Nothing! Only thing to note is the on-site car park is quite dinky so get there early so it's easy to park :)
Sweet location, less than 10 minutes from the megabus stop, and two toilets for 5 adults was fantastic!
Poor pressure in the shower although it was hot
Good location in city.
The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows provided were terrible. The bathroom was extremely cold as a window had been locked open (the night we stayed was windy, rainy and close to minus temperatures)
The location is quiet and convienent to access to city centre and cardiff university
I stayed in room 11 where the wall insulation was very poor and you could hear people coughing in the next room. The radiator kept making a horrible ticking noise throughout the night. The shower room was clean, but there was a blood stain on double bed sheet under pillow and makes you suspect that they may not wash the bed sheets properly. The worst thing is that I was asked to pay a £20 deposit for the car parking permit, and the next day I returned the permit, only to my shock to recieve an envelope with £10 written in the corner and with ONLY £10 inside. I then phoned the lady who took the £20 deposit and she denied that she took £20 and said that I only gave her £10 which is unbelievable as I am 110% CERTAIN that I only had all £20 notes in my wallet and gave her the room fee with another £20 plus £8 coins, eventually I got the £20 back from the landlord, my advice to people is that you must demand a receipt for any cash paid or you may experience some funny business there. BE CAREFUL!
Free car parking in central city positioning
Could hear other residents
central location,free parking.
Very clean and good location would stay there again
The wifi code wasn't available and didn't really see no one to ask for it also order breakfast and the lady said in the morning it wasn't posible there was a language barrier with the lady but the bloke spoke good English
Location at the river, good parking space on the road, 10 min by foot to castle and city; half hour to Cardiff Bay - along the river, excellent wifi (my room was ground floor).
heating was not to good in January, good slightly cold feet while working on my computer at the desk
Excellent directions from bus station to property. Possibly not in the cleanest part of Cardiff, but that is not the fault of the guesthouse. Property appeared to be well looked after. We, myself and my teenage daughter arrived on an early flight (at guesthouse at 10.am) and were able to leave our bags and call back later to pick up the key. We checked in at House no. 11 but we stayed in in house 9 . No. 11 is the main house where breakfast is served This might not suit everyone but it was fine with us. We had a twin room with a kitchenette overlooking the river and rugby stadium. My daughter was thrilled as the purpose of our visit was a Rugby match ! Room was spacious, large tv, nice shower room and toilet and the kitchenette was a bonus. Small fridge and microwave as well as kettle, tea and coffee etc. No. 9 house looks like it has recently been refurbished (year or so). No. 11 looks a little more aged. Breakfast room in No. 11 was very small and I'm not sure if it was full when you were to arrive if there was an alternative room. Breakfast was adequate, but no sausages with cooked breakfast. Young girl serving was very pleasant and attentive. There are stairs in the buildings and maybe this should be noted by the owners on their website. Beds were soft, but we found them comfy. Not sure what other rooms were like but we were very pleased with ours and had a great weekend. On check out we were able to leave our bags until we had to leave Cardiff for our later flight. Location was fantastic, less than 5 minute walk to station, castle, rugby ground and shopping area.
Street area a little grubby but not fault of guesthouse owner.
Centrally located to Downtown and Cardiff Castle.
Room was small but nice. Would have liked a Queen bed but the room size would not allow such.
one of the best places i have stayed in from booking .com. staff 1st class most comfortable bed i have ever slept in, breakfast brill
slight problem shower not very powerful. but guess that is me because i am used to having a power shower at home
Friendly staff clean room good location from city centre.
Quality compared to price excellent location free parking
Location was excellent. Views from our room were good. Easy walk into the city. Friendly and professional staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. Booking via the internet was easy, and no money changed hands untill booking confirmed 24 hours before arrival. Very impressed with that.
Shower was a big disappointment. Breakfast room became a bit crowded.
From the moment we were greeted at the door to the time we handed the keys in were perfect, staff friendly, facilities perfect and walking distance to everything, onsite free parking too. we will be coming back here :)
Really friendly staff. Basic clean, pleasant place. The location is excellent, and the rates were very good for the quality and location, especially on the busy weekend we were visiting.
The location was great and staff great, loved the kitchenette facility
The room had things wrong with it, broken headboard, broken bottom of door to bedroom, dirty valances on beds and heated towel rail didn't work. Couldn't stay 3rd night due to illness but still had to pay.
Great Location, nice room, nice staff,i have nothing bad to say, would definitely stay there again
Great place to stay great location and very friendly staff will definately stay again next time in Cardiff
Nothing to dislike
Close to stadium. Short walk to castle and town centre.
I liked everything
I did not like the position of the toilet
I have travelled to Cardiff over the last few weeks and found the Austins' rooms very comfortable and inviting. The individual showers works very nicely for price and value, especially for a single night stay.
The only thing I could say wasn't much to my like was the bed, very springy and uncomfortable. I normally make up for my lack on sleep on the journey via the coach.
close to center and very well taken care of.
a nice little b&b right next to the city centre , basic but clean and decorated quite modern, the chap running it was very helpful , I will use again
no on street parking but there is around the back but very very tight to get in
