Autumn Leaves Guest House  

A very friendly, family run B&B in the heart of delightful Windermere. I was greeted with warmth and the English breakfast, in a beautiful dinning room, over looking a lovely park in spring blossom, was amazing. My room was a small single, very warm and spotlessly clean. Thanks for making me feel so at home!

The bedroom was very small but ok for me on my own but, even though I was aware that the bathroom was across a landing, I would have preferred to have an ensuite in the room. The bathroom was, never-the-less, clean and adaquate. Just be aware of this if you are booking the single room, otherwise an awesome B&B.

Rob and Sara were great from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Rob was always willing to advise of places to go and nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was clean and tidy and felt just like home. The breakfast was excellent too. The location was a perfect location and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. Will definitely recommend to others and will stay again. Thank you!

Owners so friendly couldn't do enough for us fabulous food-couldn't eat all the breakfast. Nothing too much trouble and valuable knowledge of area.

Rooms not large but that isn't a criticism

The location is good, close to the train station and city center, but it`s about 20 minutes walk from the lake.

I rather detest not en-suite bathrooms, even when they are private, but it`s quite a common practice on the Isles :(

From first booking our stay Rob and Sarah were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was cosy, warm and comfortable. Using their wifi was handy for checking out places to visit. Breakfast was great both for me as a vegetarian and for my husband. We would both happily return for another stay.

Shame about the weather!

We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival. This continued throughout our stay. We were given helpful tips about the area, breakfast was lovely. The room and bathroom was very clean and nice. I felt we arrived as strangers n left making new friends. I have already made an enquiry about going back

They were friendly and extremely helpful to us. When we had to leave early, they were kind enough to make sandwiches for us. No B&B did that. Thank you!

It was a friendly, comfortable, clean place to stay. The owners were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be going back their again and we will also be recommending it to our family and friends.

The couple who ran it were very friendly and always eager to help with directions to local attractions. The free pass to the Old England gym and spa was very nice. The room was small but cosy and the bed was comfortable.

We liked everything about the Autumn Leaves Guest House especially the friendliness of Rob ,Sara and Jack. The room was excellent with all the facilites needed and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was brilliant and was freshly cooked. The location was within walking distance for eating places which was recommended by Rob. My husband and I will certainly make a return visit to Autumn Leaves. Thank you Rob and Sara for a most enoyable stay.

cosy,warm,great hosts,convenient location

disappointing vegetarian breakfast-it just consisted of beans,an egg,mushrooms and tomatoes not even a vegetarian sausage or hash brown.

Close to the town centre and railway station but not too close so it is peaceful at night. Good choice of breakfast. Well insulated and warm. Friendly host.

This was my first time visiting the Lake District since I was very young. From the moment I stayed at the guest House to the moment I left Rob and Sara made me and my girlfriend feel at home. I have stayed in many places in the UK but this was the best, Rob and Sara will help you with anything, including helping you get and find the best deals. Once again Rob many thanks for the 50% discount on the ferry :D The bedroom was a decent size and was extremely clean. The bathroom was a fair size and again was very clean. The Owners really were the nicest people you could of wished to meet, it was clean, the food was spot on and the atmosphere was very nice. Its a little gem!

That I didn't stay longer!!!

I would strongly recommend it to others. Everything is lovery, clean and warm. It was a lovery house with flower-decorated windows on the charming street. Windermere Railway Station is only 5 minutes away. It's short of nothing. Everything I want is there - cosy, fully-equipped room, great, hot and freshly cooked breakfast, strong Wi-fi signal, powerful hair-dryer, amenities made from natural ingredients. My bathroom was not en-suite, but it was on the same floor and totally private. The owners Rob and Sarah are very friendly and hospitable. They helped me kindly when I couldn't arrive on time and when I left my luggage after check-out. And, I stayed upstairs and had a very heavy suitcase (about 70 pounds!), but Rob was very strong so he helped me to carry it. Actually, he lifted it up over his chest and carried it into room quickly, and was ready for more.:P I had a great time. I'd like to stay once again. Thank you!

The owners go the extra inch to make your holiday comfortable and help you with your planning. On the first day they lent me their local map and advised me what to see and where to go.The rooma are clean and breakfast is good.The lake district is lovely but hiring a car is a must.

The rooms are a bit small but we where prepared for that.

Breakfast was really nice and the hosts are nice people~
