Avalon Hotel 4* Guesthouse Accommodation  

Location - very close to beach; comfort & cleanliness of room; the owner, Anne, was very welcoming and helpful; the hotel is licensed.

cleanliness and superb breakfast staff very friendly and welcoming. Although I booked the accommodation my wife anddaughter stayed at the hotel and I stayed with my brother and sister-in-law. They loved their room withfour poster bed plus single bed.

All facilities excellent- may be more provision for soap / shampoo, although bought our own.

Not the worlds most comfortable bed or most powerful shower...but you'd not expect that for the price!

The guesthouse is very clean and friendly and is probably one of the best B&B's in area. When in the area for business I always choose to stay here having tried several hotels and guesthouses in the past. The beach at Gorleston is absolutely beautiful and has not been commercialised at all.

Very few local places to eat in the evening.

The staff were very friendly and helpful during the stay, the rooms were tidy and breakfast was good, it was situated not far away from where I wanted to go overall would stay again

only downfall was having to check out by 10am maybe could consider being a little later at weekends and bank holidays

I booked a single, and enjoyed the space of a triple! Tea & coffee facilities, Bar in the evening, excellent breakfast. Anne gave me a great welcome and made sure I had everything I needed.

We were greeted by friendly helpful staff. The room was clean, spacious room. On suite bathrooms in all rooms. Comfortable beds, excellent food. My parents also stayed in the same Guesthouse. They enjoyed the food and their room was ideal for the weekend stay. We would certainly stay at the Avalon again.

It was very close to the sea-front. The lady of the house kindly gave me and my mum a bit longer in our rooms than we should have had on our departure day although we only overstayed by 10 minutes or so.

The man of the house served our breakfast. The pot of coffee was instant so I asked if there was any filter coffee. As he was walking away he mumbled 'no', which I think was quite rude. Also I asked for my toast to be brought after I'd finished my porridge but it came before I'd eaten much so it went cold. As me and mum were the only two having breakfast at that time it would've been easy to do as I requested. Compared to the hotel (which I can't fault), that we stayed at the two previous nights, this was expensive.

run in a very friendly manner, comfortable room, location, pleasant surroundings. excellent breakfast and evening meals

We only stayed for one night as we had bought my mum down on holiday, but we were more than happy with the Avalon hotel. It is in a great position and we were made very welcome

Lovely Bed & Breakfast Hotel. Hotel was clean and tidy. Room was lovely, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was well prepared and delicious. The owner (Anne) was kind and helpful. The hotel is near the beach. I would recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately the Hotel Wifi failed during our 4 day stay. I would still recommend the hotel.

We were only there for one night; there was a warm and friendly welcome. the room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

only issue we had was a minor problem was checking out at 10am on the Saturday may be better off being 11am in future

This was the most relaxing weekend we have had in a long time,this was also helped by the frendly staff,nothing was to much trouble,I would not hesitate to reccomend this Hotel.

It is advertised as a hotel, but it is a bed & breakfast. I didnt feel it is a 4* Hotel at all and I found the rate of the rooms higher than they are worth.
