“We were upgraded to a larger room when we arrived, the king size bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, the room was huge, the bath was fantastic. Wonderful breakfast the next morning. On top of that the beachside location was just perfect, very tranquil setting with lovely hosts, even got some tips on where to go in Bath on an upcoming trip! Very nice experience all round & would thoroughly recommend this beautiful place to anyone.”

In a beautiful, quiet part of Cornwall, just 20 metres from the beautiful sandy cove of Maenport, this newly built guest house offers attractive, contemporary accommodation and free Wi-Fi. In a peaceful and secluded position, the Avalon Guest House is located on the Rosamund Pilcher route and the South West Coastal Path, just 3 miles (5 km) outside of Falmouth, along the coast road. Avalon is a family-run guest house and your hosts, Arthur and Gail Shiers, pride themselves on offering the tailored personal service of a fine hotel combined with the warm, friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere of a small guest house. Guests can also enjoy complimentary afternoon tea and cakes with their stay. All of the en suite rooms are comfortable and attractive. Each room has tea/coffee, a mini-fridge, a hairdryer and a TV (some with Freeview digital channels). Gail and Arthur made us feel very welcome on our arrival and during our stay.The atmosphere at Avalon is very relaxing and we felt very much at home.The rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you need.Gail and Arthur go that extra mile,even providing tea and cakes in the afternoon which are very welcome after a day out! We would recommend Avalon to anyone taking a break in the area.

My booking was determined by past reviews and I can honestly say that we were definitely not disappointed. The location was picturesque, within a few minutes walk of a secluded cove beach. Gail and Arthur were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The breakfasts were excellent with so much choice which really set you up for the day - no room for cream teas! If you wish for a quiet spot in a lovely location and like to be well looked after then this is the place for you.

We had a fantastic stay in Avalon. Excellent service with very tasty breakfast, just 50 yards from a beautiful beach. Easy access to Falmouth by bus. Highly recommended.

Great for a seaside place,and lots to see around the area.Good place to eat right next door.If you want to go a litte further go to Red Lion in a village not far called Mawnan Smith.

Das Avalon Guest House zeichnet sich durch seine Lage unmittelbar am Strand, den ausgezeichneten Service, seine freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Inhaber und sein phantastisches Frühstück aus. Nachmittags wird man noch mit Kuchen verwöhnt und es besteht den ganzen Tag die Möglichkeit sich im Frühstücksraum frischen Kaffee (nicht nur löslichen) und Tee zuzbereiten. Das Familienzimmer ist ausgesprochen geräumig und gemütlich, sogar mit kleinem Kühlschrank und das Bad hat eine tolle ovale Badewanne. Ein idealer Ort zum Erholen ! Es gibt zudem ein großes zusätzliches Serviceangebot, wie die Anmietung von Kajaks oder auch Picknickkörbe und Abendessen nach vorheriger Bestellung. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt ist der Preis nur etwas hoch, wenn man auch zugestehen muss, dass man dafür wirklich etwas geboten bekommt. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert ! Ein Ort an den man unbedingt zurückkehren möchte.

We enjoyed our stay at Avalon especially the complimentary tea and cakes. Good location. Off-road parking available too. This is not a criticism but on our departure we asked to see the other types of rooms and wished we had stayed in one of the bigger rooms upstairs - although the room we was in was great too!

Dette er et koselig, familiedrevet lite hotell som ligger vakkert plassert like I strandkanten et lite stykke utenfor Famouth. En fin gåtur inn til byen, langs kyststien som strekker seg rundt hele Cornwall, nydelig utsikt og en fin naturopplevelse. Vi fikk den beste service, veldig bra rom, deilig hjemmelaget mat, og savnet ingenting.
