The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was very well stocked with drinks and snacks. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Upgraded to a lovely room - attention to detail at Avalon Lodge is fabulous
Have stayed here twice and each time has been a joy. Owners Nick and Jenny offer a wonderful welcome and beautiful individually decorated rooms. A wide variety of tea and coffee is available in the room and the extra perk of a mini bar (the goodies inside each have a small charge) is a delight. The rooms themselves are spacious, including the ensuite. Enormous fluffy towels await along with complimentary toiletries. Every little detail has been thought of to make sure you have a lovely stay. Excellent cooked breakfast, with locally sourced produce (including eggs from their own chickens). There is also a great choice of cereal, spreads and healthy options. I cannot fault Avalon Lodge and look forward to returning!
Very kind and attentive staff Spacious room We were offered a choice of available rooms when we arrived The staff took great care of my wife with her allergies Good breakfast with a wide range of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and of course the full English (and fresh eggs) Good Wifi Peaceful location (we had a room at the front, but even then there was minimal street noise)
Good sized room, great breakfast, friendly hosts
The owners were very lovely and welcoming . Breakfast was good with a good variety. Excellent value for money. Very comfortable and homely vibe
Every little thing you might need has been thought about. Great shower with plenty of room. Drinks & refreshments in a very quiet fridge. I am a light sleeper and was not disturbed at all.
Only negative was their sign, perhaps a black and white sign would be easier to see in December in the dark with car lights. We passed at least three times before we found it. The road is fast and not many turning places.
Was felt very welcome from the minute I arrived to the time I left. I made an error with the booking by only booking 2 nights instead of 3 and they were very kind to find me an alternative B&B while I was out working. Thank you so much ;) I would gladly return should I ever be working in Devizes again.
Nick and Jenny could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Deserves its high rating.
Could do with a light at the entrance to help with locating in the dark
Very friendly hosts Spotlessly clean Warm welcome Great service and every little thing was thought of i.e. torch in the room for walking to the village, Nick looked up buses for us, dressing gowns provided. Recommendations where to eat
Friendly and helpful host, large and comfortable room, outstanding breakfast.
Amazing hospitality and a wonderful couple who made us feel very welcome.
All the little details, the owners took the trouble to provide lots of extra things and the breakfast was delicious. They were very helpful in offering us a lift into town if the bus across the road didn't turn up. Luckily it did!
Some flies got into our room, so a can of fly spray on the landing dresser would have been good
The breakfast was very tasty and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom and shower room is excellent. Mick and Jenny are perfect hosts. There is nothing not to like about Avalon Lodge.
Hosts very warm and welcoming as is the environment. Spotlessly clean and everything that I looked for was to hand. Balcony is lovely even in October. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and home made jams and bread too. Hope to return very soon.
Absolutely nothing to fault3e
Such a friendly welcome. Would definitely stay here again
Great free range eggs at breakfast.
Very welcoming and helpful couple who provided useful information about the surrounding area.Very comfortable accommodation with good breakfasts.
we were welcomed with a cuppa and a smile both very welcome after a long journey the room was also sunny and welcoming with a lovely balcony and outside our door a fridge with milk drinks and snacks at reasonable prices breakfast was excellent and prompt all in a great area with lots to see and do
Jenn and Nick are lovely hosts, full of information on points of interest in the surrounding area and Breakfasts were a treat
Only negative was that we found the bed uncomfortable.
A great welcome with a fresh pot of tea and biscuites whilst we chatted about our journey, purpose of visit, etc. Assistance with all our luggage.Excellent choice of breakfast foods.In-room (noiseless) mini fridge, well stocked and as much milk as you could use for your tea or coffee. Comfortable beds -everything seemed to be new, the mattresses, pillows and duvets. Well stocked, clean bathrooms. Ability to control the warmth/coolness of our individual room. Good selection of books/DVDs to play on the good sized flat screen TV. Well lit parking area. Good location - just 5 minutes' drive into Devizes, on the outskirts of the village. Extremely helpful and pleasant owners - nothing would be too much trouble.
Although a great location, the road is quite busy and house is on the edge of the 30/50mph speed limit. (Just not what I'm used to).
Good service, which was as much or as little service as you wanted. Excellent food Quiet
Lack of bath
