The Avenue Hotel  

We found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly.We stayed at the hotel as it was not far from Mitten Hall where we were attending a wedding.We arrived at the hotel before the check in time but Margeret the co owner allowed us to leave are wedding reception clothes in the room until we returned for them later.On our departure on Saturday after a great breakfast Margeret downloaded a map for us to find the easyest way to get to Oswaldetwistle Mill which was very helpful .We will definately be returning there in the near future Mr A Kenny

Clean, friendly, modern rooms and facilities

we liked the location , the hotel and the rooms are lovely and clean. good facilities cafe/ restaurant on site. would return for another weeked break.

both suites are on the road side , this not keep use awake at night, but road noices during the day.

It was surprisingly exceptional given that whilst it had been recommended by Northcote Manor, at £45 a night I was very suspicious. I could not have been more wrong! The atmosphere, layout of the room, cleanliness, service and overall experience 10/10. It was quite superb!

Good size room & beds; Very modern & new looking; Pleanty of storage space. Security Guard was very helpful.

Not good signage for Hotel enterance - then, only had A4 sheet of paper, stuck on the inside of a dimly lit 'front' door, telling us to go to secuity guard for our keys! Bathroom requires some attension - cracks around tile work.

Quiet location, well decorated, clean, no fuss. Value and an excellent breakfast. The lady serving breakfast should get a pay rise. Nice service.

From arriving at the hotel until leaving everything was brilliant all the staff were excellent the room and the hotel was excellent great views very quiet lovely setting. The room was lovely very comfortable bed, the breakfast was very tasty and also a very relaxed atmosphere. The late checkout option an extra bonus. Brilliant stay will definatley stay again and highly recommend

Very clean and comfortable, welcoming reception staff reasonably priced!!

Room was very hot on a night could do with Fans or Air Conditioning unit!

Breakfast was made from local produce - the sausages were particularly good, with tasty bacon and eggs. Our stay was during the restaurant refurbishment and considering the breakfast was cooked on 2 camping gas rings and a George Forman grill, it was better than many other places we have stayed.

A comment rather than a complaint - why have a double bed when you have room for a kingsize?

Even though the restaurant was being refurb. we had our breakfast in the conference room the food was excellent, staff very nice and b/room very comfortable. We wish them all the best for the future and sure they will do well Ann and Dennis Cousins

We were attending a wedding at Mitton Hall and looked at the reviews for the local hotels, this hotel stood out and we weren't disappointed as hotel in good, nearby quiet location. Very good value for money, beautifully decorated hotel, room clean.

Breakfast was held in a converted conference room not an appropriate dining room. Checkout 10.00am
