Loved having breakfast in the railway carriage and easy drive to the airport in less than 15 minutes.
It was a very comfortable stay & we particularly liked having our breakfast on the train. The staff were very friendly & made us feel welcome.
It could have been signposted more clearly from the main road.
Room was a nice size but small en suite. Food in Restaurant was freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Staff friendly
We arrived late at night at Bournemouth Airport. We arrived at the Avon Causeway, after a very short drive. The room was clean and the hot drink making facilities, were very welcome. In the morning breakfast was served in the train carriage (pullman). A very nice touch; the breakfast was excellent with a multitude of choices. I would recommend this hotel to all. When I next fly from Bournemouth, I will be sure to book "The Avon Causeway"
The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the train carriage was brilliant.
Not a lot.
Dad a bit more responsive. Still not great, taking titch for a walk
Uncomfortable bed and error in booking
The food in the pub at the Avon Causeway was amazing, much better than we expected! Breakfast was also very nice.
The rooms were clean but patchy in places. Rooms needed a little tlc but were functional. The linen was clean but did have a smoky smell to it?? Unfortunately we both had back ache in the morning - the bed wasn't very comfortable at all.
Clean room, friendly staff, parking, good food, excellent breakfast, great value.
Nothing not to like
So convenient for Bournmouth Airport. Good bar food. But take earplugs to get a good night sleep, due to traffic noise on the motorway ,but we will still stay there.
At breakfast we liked the fact that butter was served in a dish and jams and marmalades in individual jars. Not a sign of those annoying little foil sealed sachets that drive you mad. Also the pullman coach setting was nice.
The evening menu was a bit predictable,we like blackboard menus which change regularly. Fortunately, the chef was allowed some leeway with 2 or 3 specials which made a nice change.
Staff very helpful. Great breakfast.
Small double bed.
Everything was excellent. I had a meal in the bar that was very good.
There was nothing that I didn't like about my stay
breakfast in railway carriage food in general was well cooked and ample servings the car park was excellent
no shelf in shower unit
Beautiful location. Beds very comfortable.
Well prepared food from a varied menu with good choices for those who prefer vegetarian food. Portion sizes were excellent. Shane and the staff were welcoming and attentive - couldn't ask for better hosts.
Wi-Fi didn't work at all in the bedrooms and was only marginally better in the public rooms.
This was the second time we have stayed here, all the staff were very helpful and polite.
The place could do with re-decorating especially the outside i.e. Red phone boxes and the carriage as well as the building.
Bar and restaurant staff are very friendly and welcoming. breakfast is served in an original Pullman coach for a great experience.
Bathroom had paint on the ceiling peeling off but this was the only point that has drawn a negative.
very friendly staff. good breakfast in a pullman car. Very calm and quiet
A bit too far from Christchuch
Location was good , food quite ok for a short visit.
Room was a family room , it was a late booking so not the hotels falt , standard and cleanliness left it bit to be desired ! It's not a buget priced place Carpets were rather dirty ! Bathroom needed updating
The staff and management were very friendly, the place is a must stay!! The food was excellent and you get to have breakfast in a train!!
Having to check out and leave....
Very welcoming and friendly staff, nice and clean. Enjoyed the old railway carriage where you dine for breakfast.
None, wish i could have stayed longer.
Excellent location for Bournemouth and the New forest area. Room was clean and had tea & coffee making which was nice. Novelty of having breakfast in a train.
No real negative points. All lived up to our expectations.
It's easy to get to Christchurch or Bournemouth from here. The room was nice and comfortable.
The welcome wasn't particularly warm, and when I asked for help choosing a gluten free meal in the evening they weren't particularly helpful - so we ate elsewhere. Disappointed as stayed there a year ago and had a great time, including a memorable meal! Won't go back again.
Good size rooms and clean Only had breakfast which was very good and a bit different served in an old railway carriage
Reception area could do with a facelift Put address into sat nav and ended up on dual carriagway that goes near it. 12 mile detour!! Just head for the village of Hurn and it is fairly well signposted from there
Lovely hotel very good price food was excellent young bar waiting staff friendly and chatty.
Hotel shuts at 11 unable to sit and chat told to go to room at 11! Understand bar shuts but nowhere to be with friends staff abrupt when closing -
