Nice country pub. Newly decorated bar area. Cosy pub atmosphere with excellent food & choice of beers.Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Bedroom in need of TLC. Musty smell in bathroom and beds not very comfortable. Railway carriage dining closed for repainting at time of our visit!
Great position for Bournemouth airport Good breakfast
Poor Wi Fi Hotel is not in a great mobile reception area (4EE)
I received a really warm welcome on my arrival. The hotel is a quirky themed hotel (old railway station). Recently refurbished, Very comfortable room. Good selection of real ales. Very good breakfast menu. I would like to return to experience one of their murder mystery evenings.
New staff very helpful Room OK but will need a refurb when down stairs is complete
Pub and restaurant being refurbished so no bar or dining available except breakfast. We did know beforehand and still decided to stay.
Very interesting building & breakfast venue
Avon Causeway was tucked away but also within easy reach of all the things we needed to get to. The evening food was great and reasonable and the breakfast in the train carriage was a lovely experience. Marvellous value for money.
Not the fault of hotel but they were just about to start renovations so we didn't see hotel at it's best but we will definitely be going back.
Excellent helpful staff, nice pub / restaurant, good food and beer. Excellent breakfast served at table (not buffet)
Small double bed with springy mattress that dipped to the middle.
The bed was comfortable.
The place is a building site. Bugs in the room. Bathroom ceiling peeling away. Shower was garbage.
Breakfast in the railway carraige
Staff could not do enough to help, food was excellent evening and breakfast meals , room was lovely and a train next door to eat our food in quality touch well done to all
Having to leave
Breakfast in the Orient Express Dining car
Clean and comfortable room. Quirky railway carriage restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff.only staying one night for business so efficient and friendly service was great
In the middle of external refurbishment but didn't impact on my stay at all.
Over night stay near airport so adequate
Smell of paint Dogs in the eating area and waitress petting animals whilst serving food
Paint everywhere, smell of paint, noises from the workmen even swearing on a Sunday early morning. Workmen walking on scaffolding outside the bedroom window while on the toilet & getting dressed not exceptible. Complained to manager & they said their hands were tied it was down to the brewery....!!! The place should have been closed for refurbishment or rooms away from work should have been allocated.....!!!!
The food & waitress staff were very good....!
Excellent breakfast and service. Good value for money.
Difficult to find at night-down a dark lane-with no signage to be seen from main road
Breakfast very nice. Room looked pleasant, nice big bed.
Noisy building work and a smell of paint. Constant traffic noise from the very busy road our room overlooked. Unwelcoming reception area. No key to get in so had to be back before 11pm! En suite: no soap, stained shower curtain (although this was rectified) plaster around light fitting above shower broken, wooden panelling under wash basin broken.
Breakfast in the railway carrriage
Loved having breakfast in the railway carriage and easy drive to the airport in less than 15 minutes.
It was a very comfortable stay & we particularly liked having our breakfast on the train. The staff were very friendly & made us feel welcome.
It could have been signposted more clearly from the main road.
Room was a nice size but small en suite. Food in Restaurant was freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Staff friendly
We arrived late at night at Bournemouth Airport. We arrived at the Avon Causeway, after a very short drive. The room was clean and the hot drink making facilities, were very welcome. In the morning breakfast was served in the train carriage (pullman). A very nice touch; the breakfast was excellent with a multitude of choices. I would recommend this hotel to all. When I next fly from Bournemouth, I will be sure to book "The Avon Causeway"
The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the train carriage was brilliant.
Not a lot.
Dad a bit more responsive. Still not great, taking titch for a walk
Uncomfortable bed and error in booking
The food in the pub at the Avon Causeway was amazing, much better than we expected! Breakfast was also very nice.
The rooms were clean but patchy in places. Rooms needed a little tlc but were functional. The linen was clean but did have a smoky smell to it?? Unfortunately we both had back ache in the morning - the bed wasn't very comfortable at all.
