The room size was good, bed comfortable. Very quiet-perhaps no other guests near to our room but appreciated. Comfortable chairs/table in the room. Breakfast and evening meal very good.Our stay was very enjoyable. The bathroom although clean, needed a re-fresh and a bath mat would have been good as the floor became slippery.The lift doors were badly marked. It would have been good to have had a few complimentary peanuts or crisps with our pre-dinner drinks. |

The hotel was conveniently situated for the purpose of our visit (seeing our daughter who is at the university), and also had the benefit of an interesting view. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and polite, and there was a good choice at the buffet breakfast. |

Excellent service in a brilliant location. Arriving from the South West it was a joy not to have to drive through Bristol city centre. The hotel offered all the facilities required and some more with a good staff and very good breakfasts and evening meals. |

Joanna, the hotel manager, was great. She was very warm and welcoming, and upgraded us to a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the Clifton Suspension bridge when a light in the room wasn't working. She gave us local maps and got someone to show us how to open door, Nothing, apart from the attitude of one woman at reception who told me the balcony could not be used because of the time of year, which was completely untrue. |

good location, close to Clifton. Had everything we needed for this trip.Bar Rest Etc. Rooms could do with revamp, a bit old fashioned. but the price was good enough to balance it out. |

The room was cosy, the bathroom was large, there was ample closet space, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered great variety, which was helpful in view of my husband's dietary restrictions. Clifton village is a lovely area--everyone we met was very friendly. The scrambled eggs on the first morning were barely lukewarm and not really hot on the third morning. The rolls and croissants seemed to have been left over from the previous day--certainly not fresh. |

the staff were very pleasant adn accommodating. The hotel is voctorian so there is a lovely atmosphere and the view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge is wonderful. Breakfast is very good too! The furniture in our room was tired looking and the fabric on the chairs was badly stained. The bathroom heaters had been turned off in every room due to health and safety so it was cold in the bathroom. We did not get the double room we had booked for- there were twin beds in our booked room, but the hotel changed the room for one with a double bed However we were then placed two rooms up form their ballroom which had christmas parties in on both Friday and Saturday night so we had disturbed nights. This was a shame as we had stayed in the hotel in October and had no complaints then! |

The location was great with good viewa over looking the gorge. Nice help yourself breakfast Tv didn't work properly, some light bulbs were missing. Bathroom could have been cleaner, limited car parking space. |

The hotel is in an impressive location, and considering it is in the middle of Clifton village, I found it very reasonably priced. The reception staff were very polite and prompt. I thought that the bathroom looked a little tired - the fitttings look dated and the shower was very old and didn't work well. The room was also cold - I mention this because on my last two stays at the hotel ( some five years ago) I found my room cold and the bathroom commnets applied then. Maybe it's time to consider updated some of the bedrooms. |

it has brilliant views of the bridge all lit at night, and over the city in the day time, staff are very good and know the local area for helping get about. bed was very comfortable, food fantastic, rooms are very nice, car park holds 5 cars, and on street parking is problem with local homw owners also parking on street, i was here with a technician who had fun parking his van. i got lucky with gap in rear car park, make sure you get a permit to park from reception, clapping looks very expensive if you get caught out, on street is free. and is safe. nice area |

I booked my hotel room on-line, a short time before I arrived at the Avon Gorge. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient and my booking couldn't have been processed more smoothly. The room I was allocated was clean and comfortable and the en-suite bathroom the same. I plan a return to this hotel soon. |

My visit was short - we were attending a funeral nearby - found the hotel very convenient and pleasant and good value for money. I found the room a little stuffy - no ventilation unless we opened the window and it wa spretty stormt outside. |
