COMFORT AND FOOD
Fantastic view of the Clifton Bridge
Very tired looking and in need of some TLC
Lovely location in Clifton Village. Gorgeous rooms. Friendly staff and good food and choice of drinks.
We stayed 13th December and were told when we booked in that there were two Christmas parties going on that night but 'it shouldn't disturb you' They did. The disco boomed up through four floors! It didn't stop until midnight. The whole purpose of our stay was so my wife could relax three weeks away from giving birth. The fourth floor was ok but the village view looked out onto a concrete ledge. I had to climb on a chair to see anything out of the window? Saying that the room size was much larger than I thought it would be.
could use a re-vamp but good value
Location; and staff.
No hand creams; the fixed soap in shower or bathroom. unable to book a car park space.
Made to feel very welcomed by all staff.
It was christmas party night and although we could not hear anything of the partying unfortunately 2 young men came back at 4.30 in the morning and talked very loudly for at least 30 mins in the room until one of them went to bed. They were very loud but the noise travelled easily through the walls
One of our party had their room double booked but after being placed in an unsuitable room the management rectified this.
location, restaurant, food
staff seem to be getting grumpier Bedroom right next to lift
Lunch at the restaurant overlooking the Avon Gorge
Restricted view from balcony and balcony doors which didn't open or close properly
Well room was quite big.
Standing on a chair in order to see the gorge veiw, nearly pressing my face against the window in order to see one tiny bit of the bridge ( left tower) A very hard bed a radiator that didn't work even though it was dec 7th.All round exaggerated advertising of bridge and gorge Veiws.
When we go to stay anywhere the first thing we like is the staff to be friendly. It was great as the manager came from N Ireland well there's a bonus to begin with. A real warm person with a smile. The second lady we met at the front desk couldn't do enough for us we even got her some chocolates,to say thank you. The room was very clean and we had a great view of the fire works, thank you very much for a great stay. Oh and the food was great too will be back.
Super breakfasts Comfortable beds
Room was hot and window would only open a little way Noisy Xmas party revellers
Set in a convenient location for Clifton Village, this is an attractive period hotel with friendly staff.
Parking is limited. Room was small and directly above a loud function room below.
location breakfast staff
shower bed cost
very comfortable with friendly staff;excellent view from bedroom window and dining room.
overall cost...most people we spoke to felt that to pay well over £100 per night for two without breakfast was somewhat excessive !
Room was very spacious
The staff were very polite and going out of their wat to help.
We were driving and to find some where to park was hard.
The location and the price - for Clifton I think this was very reasonable. Breakfast is very nice
The shower was awful - hardly any water coming out at all. The hotel is pretty basic, but you get what you pay for.
Good size bedroom & bathroom had a big window which made it feel large & airy. Good leaf tea & fresh coffee served outside of breakfast time.
A bit noisy at night.
Love the location and gorgeous view from room-gorge view and the restaurant. Will bring husband and the dog next time.
Everything you could ask for breakfast but all the food was cold big let down after a great stay this is the last thing guest will have before they leave should be the best
Every staff member with whom we had dealings confirmed our opinion that there must be a top class personnel & training manager somewhere behind the scenes. Friendly, polite and helpful. Truly excellent.
Lovely hotel right by the river, only 15minutes by car to get into bristol city centre. Food lovely and value for money.
Rooms very noisey could hear what people where saying in the next door room.
capacious bedroom & ensuite location is wonderful
parking is limited and difficult - very poor for a hotel of this class. access to bedrooms is through long narrow corridors and multiple stairways - again, not good for this class of hotel
