Situated in a pleasant quiet area of Bristol with a good outside terrace overlooking the Avon Gorge. Tired and very hot bedroom. Quite officious staff at breakfast service. Noisy at throw out time from the public bar. |

Superb location adjacent to Clifton Gorge and Suspension Bridge Long and sometimes narrow corridors could do with better ventilation |

Very gd food and dining service. Well appointed rooms; great view of Avon and Bridge. Easy walk to Clifton shops. poor knowledge of reception staff re local info needed by foreign tourists, eg location of hire car firms, bus routes and stops to get to nearby features/public offices. |

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as it offers beautiful views across the Avon Gorge, Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge and the countryside whilst having excellent local amenities and only a short walk from the City Centre. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The decor is a little dated and not necessarily in a themed way. Not much choice in the way of television chanels for a family stay. However this would not affect my choice to return. |

The location and view is magnificent, right on the edge of Bristol's Clifton village, overlooking the Gorge and suspension bridge is a huge outdoor terrace to the rear of the bar. Also within walking distance of Bristol Zoo. The room/corridors are looking a little tired in places and could do with a freshen up. Our room was a little shabby and wasn't really what I would call a gorge view for the extra money, it had a very noisy scraping fan that sounded like it was about to fly of the ceiling. |

The pre-wedding dinner on the terrace. We arose at 5am, drove to Nice, flew to Bristol and finally arrived at Avon Gorge at 2-30 pm. We asked for tea. We serve tea and scones at 3 pm! The next morning we wanted to go on to their best attraction - the terrace to view the bridge. 'The terrace is open at 11 am! I displayed anger, and said it was high time they ran the hotel for the guests and not for themselves. |

Views of the bridge were spectacular. Room was bit cramped for something claiming to be a double. |

The location is central and tranquil. Nice atmosphere and staff are very friendly. The shower control was too tight and it was very difficult to turn it on. The toilet seat hinge was loose therefore the seat moves from side to side when used. |

The adjoined bar / terrace overlooking the Gorge. The winding corridors and having to go through 3 heavy doors and up/down steps on the same floor to get to our room everytime! |

Location and views were good. breakfast and resturant were also very good. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. hotel was busy but not over crowded. Room was okay for the rate we paid but looked a bit tired, but generallly overall good value for money, clean and tidy. spent most of the time on the balcony with the views and a glass of wine. Parking is off putting, especially if you have nice car to leave its not secure. no drop off zone outside main doors to leave car whilst un loading etc. The room was nice but the bed was oddly too small for the large room, no head board and was a bit hard on to sleep. |

The welcome from the reception was very warm and friendly and the breakfast, that was as good as I had expected. 1) There was hardly any parking at all,2) the 'Gorge View' was in the very corner of the window and not what I had expected for the price I paid for 1 night.3) There was a lot of stairs, that was after going up 2 floors in the lift, this was not advertised!! |
