Closeness to where we wanted to travel and friendly staff
The toilet had a problem flushing and to many stairs for older travellers
Location. Great for station , underground and buses to other parts of London. Excellent breakfast.
Shame there was no lift as some people might not have been able to manage the stairs.
Convenient to paddington station.
Minuscule room, no lift. Dated dingy accommodations.
Hotel conveniently situated for train station. Staff helpful.
Five flights of stairs to top floor.
Really good for getting around London
Draft from windows
Hotel was great value for money and the room was very clean. The breakfast was fantastic. A great budget hotel. I would definately stay again.
wifi signal was strong breakfast was excellent location is great
Great breakfast. Excellent location.
Older rooms. Needs update
The hotel was basic, very comfy beds! Breakfast was good!!! exclent shower!!! Would use again!!
The underground trains, glad they stopped at 12am!!!
very friendly staff, location very close to paddington station,
Close to Paddington Railway Station. Staff vey pleasant.
Close to Paddington Railway Station ! Didn't realise the trains would sound so loud. Room was very small. Would be OK for a one night stay but not any longer.
All of the staff are extremely friendly fantastic breakfast suitable location nice and clean bathroom room itself was a typical London hotel room but very comfortable
Televison reception was not the best in my room
Nice area, calm and many nice restaurants nearby. Walking distance to Paddington & Hyde Park. Friendly staff.
Old and dirty wall to wall carpets. Not a recommended place if you are not perfectly fit, really narrow and long stairs.
Good location otherwise really bad.
My room was in the hotel next door that didn't look as good as the Avon. My room was a 5 floor climb on increasingly narrow stairs. Room was tiny and barely enough space to stand up in the bathroom. I was burnt (not badly, but I was uncomfortable for a few hours) by sudden scalding water from the shower. It would have been much worse if I hadn't jumped out of the shower quickly. I didn't complain on leaving as I would have had to wake the receptionist who was asleep on a sofa.
room was clean and breakfast was good, close to tube and train station
could do with a makeover
Prime location next to Paddington station. The shower was hot with good power.
It felt like a hostel, the entrance looked like someone's personal living room. Everywhere was very untidy. There didn't seem to be a fire exit, fire doors were propped open during the day. It certainly did not look like a 3 star hotel.
friendly helpful staff, decent breakfast, great value for money
noise from the Underground
I liked the breakfast that was very good, the bathroom in the room and the localization.
I did not like the stairs because the hotel is so high and you need to upstairs all the time. And I did not like the window because it did not close very well.
location is great. a walking distance to the Paddington train and tube station. many restaurants around.
the single beds were uncomfortable. the shower was tricky to operate. didn't give us enough toilet paper and soaps.
Room very small and also expensive Staffs were angry and didn't help you when asked them any things.
Ver small room I felt like sleeping in a grave They dont change towles Awful experience
