There was no lift and had to climb a fee flights of stairs with my bad knee...the shower room was very tiny could barely move move around as well as the room itself....there were bits of hairs in the shower room...one roll of toilet roll no hand towels
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Breakfast was good & plenty of choice. Location was good for transport links. Room clean & got lovely clean towels every day.
Room bit small, but only there for short spells & 3 nights! Room was very noisy, (underground).
Very friendly staff and the lobby was always secure.
We didn't mind the stairs, but some might find the upper floors difficult to reach with luggage.
Breakfast was good.
No lift and 5 flights of stairs with 2 heavy bags. Initial room offered was minute with bathroom barely a cubicle but this was changed for a larger room on request. No air conditioning and it was very hot.
The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Carried luggage to second floor room on arrival. There was a delicious English breakfast included in the accommodation price.
Liked everything about this Hotel. Really lovely.
The breakfast and the mattress
To have to climb the stairs after a tiring day going sightseeing.
Staff were nice.
our room was in the basement. The bath was pre-fab and very very tiny. The hotel was locked most of the day so you had to wait for someone to answer the door to return.
Location, staff service,
Location for Paddington/Heathrow Express, tube, access to Kensington Gardens; Attractive streetscape; Security--24 hour desk staff; Decent restaurants nearby; Kind staff had my room ready for early check-in.
Room 17, ground floor, not any bigger than a train compartment--could stand and touch both walls, a single twin bed against the wall; Lots of late night partying in the flats with which I shared the air shaft; If I had had a bag larger than my carry-on, there would have been no place to put it; For this I paid $175 a night--outrageous!
location. helpful staff. very friendly.
We got a family room in the basement. There was a filthy wall to wall carpet, the wallpaper falling off the walls, a tiny bathroom and worst of all: The loud noise and vibrations from the tube passing very near every fourth minute! When we complained about this noise, they only responded that the tube would stop at between 11.30 PM and 6 AM
Staff were very helpful. We had read bad reviews about lack of lift and having to carry own bags up several flights of stairs. I emailed hotel requesting room on lower floors because of knee replacements and difficulty with stairs and the staff could not have been more helpful with luggage and access. Staff also fixed a problem we had with a taxi to the airport that arrived at the incorrect time - problem caused by another agent. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfasts were well presented and coffee excellent - some of the best we had on holiday.
Advertising about bookings for taxis, etc was all on the internet which we could not remember reading. Some display of these facilities at the front desk or in the room would have reminded us and we would have made more use of this.
Clean, polite and kind staff, great breakfast!
No elevator with 6+ floors that had narrow steep stair cases. It was very difficult to bring luggage up the stairs. The room itself was very hot and the window only opened three inches. The room never cooled off with no fan or AC. We didn't sleep nearly at all. The room itself was very small and cramped and bathroom and shower were VERY small. Will not stay here again.
Friendly & nice staff, good english breakfast, cooked fresh as per your choice. Small quiet hotel with best central location near lively Paddington pubs & restaurants.
No elevator, narrow stairs & very small bathroom.
Good clean rooms and hotel located near good selection of pubs and restaurants.
Worst Hotel that I've ever stopped in ! Bedroom was so small !!!!!!!!
Food, dry only
Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Friendly staff. Location.
No lift so a bit of a challenge carrying luggage up many flights of stairs to 3rd floor.
really good quailty full english breakfast, cooked fresh for you on your order (no tacky food-bins with congealed scrambled eggs), nice quiet square, just around the corner from lively Paddington pubs
if you get a basement room, be prepared for the rumble of the nearby Padington metro system
Excellent location, very nice staff, great morning breakfast
Room was very, very small. Bathroom was extremely small. No air conditioning.
Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was very delicious.
Poor Wi-Fi as the internet is slow and crashes.
Staff were very helpful and freindly. Access to the hotel 24 hours a day. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good - lots of choice. Lovely hotel for us to just chill, relax and have a good time - good location, very pretty little square outside and plenty of pubs/restaurants and facilities around it. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
Bathroom was very small. Room was a bit on the snug side but we were pretty much only sleeping in there so it was fine.
Great location - 23 bus stop is actually closer than Paddington station so if you like seeing London by day then the bus could be your preferred transport.
Guys playing football outside at 2am; perhaps its a one off with the World Cup. The room gets very hot so you need to open a window so you are at risk for outside noise. The 2nd night we had no problems as it is in a quite square.
My room wasn't big enough to home a dog.
No toilet door, shower not big enough to get in.
