Free Wi-Fi worked well, location of the hotel is very good, breakfast eatable
TV didn't work (broken aerial cable) but it wasn't changed even when promised, lamp shade covered with 1 mm of dust, totally worn off furniture, floor colapsed in several places, towels stinking with chloride bleach, massive stain on a ceiling, over inch gap between floor and the room door, two separate taps in sink are not stylish - they are out of date in modern times. Don't wish anybody to look behind the sink - you may be shocked. And all of that for only £119.00!!! Bargain really.
payment was not clear on instruction
Interesting old building.
The room was very small and there was no room to store luggage.
Single-glazed ground floor front bedroom, could hear all the conversations of people passing by and had to knock on the window to move on a pair of 'lovers'!
good location and easy to find, great breakfast.
Wifi is bad and there is no warm.
Made to feel very welcome ,good location for main station .
This was a very last minute booking, literally on the spot needing a hotel as train home delayed for couple of hours so decided to stay another night in London. Hotel staff very helpful & friendly. Room comfortable and warm. Breakfast excellent. Great value for money!
70 stairs from bedroom to breakfast room!
Room was just what i needed. Lovey fresh cooked breakfast. Very friendly and helpful kitchen staff
Location of the hotel is good (especially for city exploration), the staff was friendly. Breakfast was full cooked (full english breakfast) and also there were other choices (cereals, toast, ..).
The free wifi sometimes didn´t work properly.
Wifi was flakey. "double bedroom" was crowed and cramped by presence of three beds.
Ideal location Quiet room Good wi fi
Decor needs updated Need for communal room (sitting room)
Staff were very friendly, location was great. Beds were very comfortable. We probably paid less than average as we stayed one night mid-week in January - just £59 here. It was very good value for that money, with a greasy spoon style breakfast included. We did also get a family room for 2 of us, so I can't comment on the size of a normal double room!
The window in the bathroom didn't close, which made it pretty darned cold! As we were only there one night and the heating in the main room was very good we didn't even mention this to the staff (although I'm sure they are aware).
I was only there for one night...but good location to the Russel Square Station....24hr reception....room was nice. Good breakfast. Close to cafes if you wanted.
Hotel looked a little dated. They could probably do with spending a few pounds on the place.
There was nice english breakfast everyday and it tasted good ;) The room was clean and it is a good deal
the shower was hard to control and it was sometimes too hot or cold. The room was too hot and probably the heat was turned on whole day and night?
Great location, good staff, and clean and comfortable stay
Wi-Fi needed resetting a couple of times
Breakfast was adequate and the breakfast-staff very friendly and nice. Location is really good, close to Russell Square station and King's Cross. Private bathroom was quite clean and in good condition.
The steep climb up the 4 floors with all of your luggage is a horrible experience. Also the staff wouldn't bother to offer any help doing so. Noisy rooms if the other guests are noisy, walls are paper thin. Also the doors are thin and don't feel very secure.
Very good location. Very good price. Solid wifi, free breakfast.
Hosts a little uninterested at times. Not bad by any means, but not all that welcoming.
But dated, could do with redecorating.
Location was very good
We got put in the top floor, room was clean but tattered and small for the 4 beds. Stairs were tricky to negotiate with the small children - it would have been easier on the lower floors.
Lovely stay, in a clean and tidying hotel. Staff we're friendly and polite..
the Plus £100 price
Location Staff Breakfast Triple room great for 3 adults and 1 child age 3
Location. Breakfast was well cooked. Wi-fi was strong.
General decor was tired e.g threadbare carpets, in need of fresh paint. Rooms dated. Mattress lumpy and bedding worn. Very small bathroom with unpredictable shower.
Location was perfect, short walk both to Russel square station where you can get the tube to Heathrow, and also to st Pancras train station for East Midlands trains. Staff were helpful and the room was very clean, breakfast was very basic but good English breakfast.
After a red-eye flight from the US, it would have been perfect if the room was ready already a few hours earlier than 2 pm. The breakfast is served for only 1,5 hours, so it's not ideal for very early departures or possible day offs when you might want to sleep longer.
Myself and my friends stayed here for three nights and it was perfect! Great location and friendly staff! The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was basic but lovely! I would defiantly stay here again!!
