Terrible. We picked this place because it was a walking distance from the conference we were at (this location is 2 trains from the center of the city). This is actually not even an Hotel - it's old building transferred into some kind of a guest house, there is no elevator, we were staying on the 4th floor in a small attic room, the facilities in the shower are old and broken and the internet was constantly malfunctioning. The only good thing in this place is the stuff that were very nice. No wonder their policy is no cancelation, Stay away from this place!

The hotel staff were very friendly and bent over backwards to help and make you feel comfortable. The room was big and very quiet with new beds, pillows and duvets that were very comfortable. Its a great location near kensington Olympia - very easy to get into the the centre and home at night. Overall good value for London. The hotel is looking a bit tired and is in need of a little modernisation. It has great potential with a bit of decoration!

Location This Hotel is not as described on the website. It is dirty and outdated and should not be advocated as an appropriate location for anyone staying in London. I enjoyed London and the experience was generally very position with the exception of the hotel. It does not reflect well on Hotels in general or on London.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had a very good breakfast. Little things like light bulbs needing replaced, soap & shampoo wasn't replaced, no curtains on the bathroom window but the friendly staff made up for these things.

Breakfast was the only good thing about this hotel for £99 per night not very good value. If this is a 3 star hotel, someone should go back and check again. As above I would rate the hotel at 2 star maybe just.Hope some of the other guests complete this survey as I heard some complaining.

The 1st room we had, the tv was not working (wanted to watch the Wimbledon). By asking several times, we eventually got a room 2 days later, with a good tv connection. Unfortunately without a remote.

The hotel is located very far from the underground station which makes it impossible to walk to it with luggage. Rooms are clean but refurbishment is very old. When entering the hotel you have to carry your bag from the ground floor to the first floor as entrance through the main door is closed. At night it is impossible to open the windows as the trains passing every 15 minutes won't let you sleep. I am very disappointed.

Very good Breakfast but without great variety. The staf were nice helpful and quickly wih the breakfast service. Have heating sistem. I think that the decoration room can be more carefuly and adjusted for more guest acomodation. The heating sistem make a litle noise but is not very disturbing.

Was kept awake by trains most of the night as the window wouldn't close and I was right next to the track. May have been nice in it's day but smells very musty and is in need of some tlc and curtains look ad though they haven't been cleaned for 20 years. Noone was there to cook breakfast as they were stuck in traffic. So noone on site during night to assist with any issues and no breakfast. Overall an experience I will not wish to repeat. Would not recommend at all which is a shame because it's in a perfect area if you are attending conferences at Olympia. Have been offered 20 pounds back to recompense for breakfast but feel a full refund would be fair.

The best thing about staying at the Avonmore was that we were only there one night! On arrival we were greeted warmly & breakfast was ok. Basic toiletteries were provided & towels were clean. The whole place was in desperate need of modernisation & repair. Didn't feel confident that linen had actually been washed. Net curtain was hanging off rail, which summed up the standard of accommodation.

There was not a lot to like at the Avonmore, we were placed in an attic room up 5 flights of narrow stairs. The room was dirty with a filthy net curtain half hanging from the window and a window frame with years of dirt on it. The tv did not work and in order to use the shower you had to turn on the basin taps to get enough pressure for four drips of shower water. On the first morning at breakfast the milk was sour and the second morning the bread was mouldy. The photographs on your site bear little resemblance to the Avonmore and are a total mis-representation of the establishment and the cost of £119.99 is an outrage. Dirty, unkempt and run down, overpriced and a place to absolutely avoid.

The only good thing I can say about the Avonmore Hotel is that it had a great location. We were very disappointed with the hotel because our room was very shabby,in terrible need of decoration, the wallpaper was peeling off and there was mould on the bathroom ceiling. To cap it all, the television didnt work and there was no-one around to complain to. We only stayed one night, once was enough for this place! When I mentioned the television next day the person thought it quite funny,I wasnt amused at all because sparks had come out the back of the tv and I thought it very unsafe.

The hotel is a just few minutes' walk away from the Kensington Olympia Exhibition Centre and transport links. The hotel could benefit from some redecoration and repairs, and more staff who understand/speak good english.

The location is great if you are attending an exhibition at Olympia exhibition center. it is only about 4 minutes walking from that center. Overall, the room was clean, however, the toilet was not. Also, my room was located in front of the railway which prevented me from sleeping well.

“Lovely modern apartment, good quality fixtures and fittings. Had everything required although didn't need to use dishwasher or washing machine. Appliances such as hob and microwave needed a little figuring out how to use as I couldn't find any instructions, but not a major problem. Apartment was clean and quiet. Comfortable bed, slept very well. En suite very nice. Tesco nearby Earls Court tube station about 6-8minutes walk for me.” Julie, Padiham Lancashire |
