Christchurch Harbour Hotel & Spa95 Mudeford, BH23 3NT Christchurch (Show map) Very good, Score from 69 reviews“The food is fantastic, as is the view onto the sea while eating. I also had a very pleasant 40-minute swim in the pool in the late afternoon. The staff are extremely anxious to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. Everything in the bathroom of our room worked perfectly, which is not always the case in hotels! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. ”

The location was excellent as was the hotel amd staff.....We had to change our rooms on arrival as we were given rooms at the back on the first floor...and if we opened to window it was directly onto the car park...the windows opened right up and were a clear security risk, especially for our daughetr on her own in the next room. Thankfully you changed our rooms to the second floor...which were fine. Restricted menu at the hotel restaurant...one or two less specialised dishes would help eg, are there many takers for pidgeon ? ...we struggled to find more than one or two dishes we liked. My wife had the rib eye steak, "Hobsons Choice " for her I am afraid... and was dissapointed. We ate at the Jetty on Sunday and did not have this problem. Alao , the bathroom lighting was too subdued for us I am afraid.

The spa facilites were really good and the location was excellent The room was not great value for money and the food was served cold on more than one occasion. The reception staff were also a little slow to help.

The only reason for the stay was to relax and enjoy good food and the surrounding countryside. The location was good but the food and service was poor - pretencious and did not deliver. The room was very hot so getting a good night's sleep was difficult. Very dissappointing. The room was too hot - even with the radiator switched off. The table d'hote menu was poor and the a la carte expensive coupled with slow service this made for dissappointing and expensive dining. Service was not confined to dinner - an hour and a half for breakfast service is unacceptable and 3 attempts later we eventually accepted the nearly correct meals! We checked out 2 days early due to unnacceptable service.

We enjoyed our stay, staff were helpful and spa treatments were good. We did book treatments and also a table at 'The Jetty' restaurant before arriving to make sure we got in, both seemed busy so this was a good idea. Food at 'The jetty' was really nice. Food in hotel restaurant was hit and miss.

The hotel is in an excellent location right on the water's edge in Christchurch. The hotel itself was very comfortable with a lovely spa and a good range of treatments. The hotel is also complimented by some excellent food in the main restaurant. We didn't eat in the 'Jetty' restaurant but it looked fabulous. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly which made our stay all the more enjoyable. I would definately recommend this hotel. I am being very picky but the gym was quite small, as was the bedroom. I think that we probably had one of the smaller rooms in the hotel and put this down to the fact that we booked at what we thought was a very reasonable price through Booking.com.

Lovely location and good facilities- it was especially nice to be given an upgrade which meant we had a sea view. Food in the restaurant was excellent- interesting menu with lots of fish. We found the staff very willing to please but wonder if the service would be improved by a review of the management system- there was a lot of duplication and sometimes an order got overlooked.

Great location - lovely views out over the harbour from dining room and terrace areas; friendly staff; nice comfortable bar & lounge area; quiet bedrooms; good variety of breakfast dishes. Difficulty in parking - they need to mark out bays. Bedrooms were far too hot & I didn't think much of the lighting arrangements - if you needed the loo in the middle of the night you had to turn the main bedroom light on in order to get the bathroom light on!!! Breakfast - great choice of food but the cooked breakfast portions were really small - one egg, one rasher of bacon, one sausage, half a tomato, a teaspoon full of beans, half a mushroon and a quarter slice of fried bread. Not what I'd call a "full English" .

Friendliness of the staff; thought that has gone into running the spa and pool; cleanliness of the bathroom One major criticism: our room carpet was in dire need of a clean. We wondered whether you had considered having wood/tile floors which would be easier to maintain. Sorry, but the state of the carpet was a real turn-off. A minor criticism is that the TV was too small to view comfortably across the bedroom. Just two sizes bigger would do the trick. Otherwise, thanks for a great experience!

Great spa - swimming pool and jacuzzi/sauna. Food in restaurant was good quality but very slow service even though it looked like there was enough staff waiting. Breakfast experience ruined by so many people complaining. However on second morning service much better so perhaps they were having an off day. View is spectacular and would highly recommend the Jetty restaurant. The building is very old and so the floors were sloping and very creaky - could hear everyone in the hotel moving around. Room was incredibly hot and even with the window wide open and had the fan on full blast it was very stifling.
