Very good,
Score from 82 reviews
“The food is fantastic, as is the view onto the sea while eating. I also had a very pleasant 40-minute swim in the pool in the late afternoon. The staff are extremely anxious to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. Everything in the bathroom of our room worked perfectly, which is not always the case in hotels! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.”

Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff and an excellent position. On the two nights that we stayed there were wedding receptions being held, and although this was not a significant problem in terms of the hotel, i.e. no excessive noise, it was a problem parking when we returned from our days out. One specific issue was that the tea/coffee items were not relenished and we had to ask at reception both days for milk, etc.

My wife and I were celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and we chose the hotel because we liked the location and the look of the facilities, and we were. It disappointed. We have been on a number of cruises, and we must say that the service along with the food and facilities matched the criterias of these, excellant

Chose this hotel as we were on business in the area and had seen a review in The Telegraph which appealed. The approach is a bit of a surprise and I assume that the owners have taken a tired seaside hotel and revamped it. Lovely room and great bathroom. Nice staff and breakfast fine. Slight mixed messages as the grounds, deck and outside bar shout "young trendy sailing types in top-to-toe Crew Clothing" whereas the inside is more "Home Counties retirees on a mid-week break". Didn't try the Spa but looked (and smelt) nice. There are two restaurants but even the "more casual" one seemed quite starchy and pricey but if I was on holiday maybe I might not have felt the same. The bar is quite large but only had 6 bar stools and 2 chairs. Some rearranging would make room for more people to have a pre or post supper drink.

The location and views were superb, and the hotel was comfortable with efficient staff. Our meal in the "Jetty" was absolutely superb, with attentive and friendly staff, who made our Wedding Anniversary meal memorable. At 8.45am, we were unable to book a table for dinner the same evening, in the hotel. However see "like" section. A little too much pressure in encouraging us to finish our breakfast, by bringing cooked meals before we had finished the cereals!

The location was perfect right on the harbour front. We went for a lovely walk by the coast, it was bitterly cold and lovely to return to the hotel and use the spa facilities. A perfect location for a winter or summer break, we would definitely return!

The hotel is in an excellent location right on the water's edge in Christchurch. The hotel itself was very comfortable with a lovely spa and a good range of treatments. The hotel is also complimented by some excellent food in the main restaurant. We didn't eat in the 'Jetty' restaurant but it looked fabulous. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly which made our stay all the more enjoyable. I would definately recommend this hotel. I am being very picky but the gym was quite small, as was the bedroom. I think that we probably had one of the smaller rooms in the hotel and put this down to the fact that we booked at what we thought was a very reasonable price through Booking.com.

Friendliness of the staff; thought that has gone into running the spa and pool; cleanliness of the bathroom One major criticism: our room carpet was in dire need of a clean. We wondered whether you had considered having wood/tile floors which would be easier to maintain. Sorry, but the state of the carpet was a real turn-off. A minor criticism is that the TV was too small to view comfortably across the bedroom. Just two sizes bigger would do the trick. Otherwise, thanks for a great experience!

Great spa - swimming pool and jacuzzi/sauna. Food in restaurant was good quality but very slow service even though it looked like there was enough staff waiting. Breakfast experience ruined by so many people complaining. However on second morning service much better so perhaps they were having an off day. View is spectacular and would highly recommend the Jetty restaurant. The building is very old and so the floors were sloping and very creaky - could hear everyone in the hotel moving around. Room was incredibly hot and even with the window wide open and had the fan on full blast it was very stifling.
