Good value. Hosts and staff were wonderful. Breakfast was great and you can chose from a good selection. Good location and easy to walk into town through path on old tramway. Off street parking outside building which is set back from the road. Good, clean rooms. From room 2 (twin) at the rear you can see the chickens, squirrels and pet turkey in the garden.
Not great for light sleepers. Bedroom walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING!!! And I mean everything. The road (at the front) is also very busy. However, a lot of the noise is down to other people being inconsiderate - banging doors, TV on too loud or flushing the loo at 4am - so not the fault of the B&B. People out there, please be thoughtful.
Very clean & tidy. The breakfast was excellent & the owners were very accomodating and friendly. We would certainly stay there again.
Very warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Will stay again
A delightful place with friendly staff who provided an excellent breakfast. It's a lovely walk along the old tramway to the theatres. Highly recommended.
Nice and cosy
We stayed two days booked full English breakfasts both days breakfasts were cold poached eggs hard fried eggs the same
Could not fault hotel lovely food Very clean and very friendly staff We will be going back next year
Good location Friendly staff Comfortable room and bed Nice breakfast
Avonpark House is only a short walk from the shops and attractions of Stratford upon Avon. The house is set well back from quite a busy road. Our room was at the back so we couldn't tell if there was a problem with noise at the front. Our room was a good size with a large shower room. It was well furnished, clean and comfortable. In the morning after helping ourselves to cereals, fruit juice and coffee a full English Breakfast was served together with toast and a pot of tea. The staff were good and very helpful. We will certainly stay there again.
Parking is a bit tight on the forecourt but there is nothing to be disliked about Avonpark House.
Location is excellent and Marie was superb on arrival. The breakfast is lovely and the rooms have nice little touches that make it extra special
The location of the Avonpark was great for walking into Stratford along the river path. Just walk outside, turn left and left again and you are on a path that is tree lined and very pretty, and soon you come to the picturesque bridge which takes you over the river and into the town. The Avonpark owner was so friendly and helpful when we arrived and the other staff did everything to make our stay welcome. The breakfasts were really nice and as a veggie my tastes were catered for. The poached eggs were amazing and the best I've encountered in a B&B or hotel. We had a lovely, good sized, ivory painted room, with a door leading onto a small balcony overlooking the garden, and the king size bed was the best I've slept in ever at a B&B or Hotel! The decor was very restful and I loved having a sofa in the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts in the pleasant Dining Room with its views of a beautiful autumn garden complete with squirrels, wild birds and resident hens, and a huge turkey also enjoying their breakfasts! It was also great that you could park at the B&B, leave the car there for your sta and walk into the town. It was also the perfect location for attending the RSC Theatre, which was only a short walk away. To sum up, the Avonpark was just what we wanted. A very clean and comfortable B&B with those little extras that make you feel so welcome, set in a stunning location that made walking into the town so enjoyable. There was also a great pub/restaurant, The Old Tramway, only a few doors away, perfect for an evening meal on our arrival day and for a night cap on our last day, at the end of a very busy schedule, following in Shakespeare's footsteps! We will definitely be staying at the Avonpark again on our next visit to Stratford!
Fabulous location - a lovely walk into Stratford town centre. Really friendly and welcoming staff and a tasty, freshly cooked breakfast. View into the garden was just captivating... squirrels enjoying their morning breakfast in the b&b garden just outside the window was enchanting to watch.
Good breakfast. Very convenient for town
Friendly greeting on arrival with explanation of facilities and location and easy access into the Town centre. Very comfortable and clean room and excellent selection for breakfast which if you have the cooked option not only looks good it tastes good too. You can be in the Town centre in ten minutes at a leisurely walk, there is a pub only 400 yards away that also serves meals. Not only do you have all of this - there is a pet turkey in the back garden which I was assured is for life and not for Christmas ! Would most definitely use again.
Had to come away !
A very warm welcome when we arrived.Excellent breakfast plenty of choice freshly cooked. Martin and Maria are excellent hosts.
Provided me with an excellent gluten free breakfast which I had requested on booking.
Great location. Friendly staff Lovely breakfast
bed was a bit small
This guest house was In walking distance from the centre of Stratford. Received a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room (number7)was very spacious, comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was good, I ordered scrambled egg and smoke salmon which I actually struggled to finish. Would definatley recommend and will be returning very soon.
The most comfortable bed I've ever had at a B&B, and the nicest Breakfast. The garden was lovely as we liked watching the great variety of wild birds that visited, and also the domestic fowl. There is a lovely walk into town along the old tramway.
What's not to like?
Efficient service with a smile
This is the ideal guesthouse for those wanting to visit Stratford for a weekend. Cleanliness was superb and the breakfast was well cooked and generous with a nice view of the garden and its wildlife. The bed was the most comfortable I have experienced for quite some time. Well recommended.
Very friendly welcome. Breakfast is lovely and bed very comfortable. Location superb - lovely walk in to town centre which takes about 5 minutes.
Sorry but air fresheners extremely overpowering!! Very small negative!!
