It was an awful place to stay. The hotel manager was obnoxious and scarey. He just walked straight into our room at 10am sharp (chucking out time) and started ranting at us (2 females), that we should have left by now. We had clearly over slept, and when he had finished shouting (which I ignored), we got up and started to get our things together and get dressed. We were just about to leave (before 11) and he returned hammering on the door, this time even more angry. I opened the door and said ok ok, we are just leaving,he just continued shouting, and threatened to charge my debit card for his cleaner having to wait for us to go.saying ''I can do that you know, do you want me to charge your card''. I said that would be theft, and advised him not to, because I would report him to the police. To which he replied phone the police if you want. This was an awful experience, and there is no justification for his behaviour. He was intimidating and very rude, and in my opinion should not be working with people.i would not recomend this accomodation to anyone, especially lone females, he was creepy.

Breakfast was OK. The rooms were small, especially for a 4 star establishment. It was also deeply unhelpful that when another resident could not sleep, the sound from his television at 4am woke me and my wife - not that the hotelier can control when guests turn their TV on, but some some soundproofing would have made it bearable.

I liked nothing about this hotel A small chocalate on a towel at the foot end of the bed does not make a hotel four star. This hotel/guest house is overpriced and does not qualify to be graded as four star. There is no lobby, the room was small. There are so many negatives about this hotel, parking space is very limited, I had to wait for half an hour for some body to move and male space.

Very near Addenbrookes Hospital; A bit noisy, dirty carpets, very basic bathroom ( not very hygienic as it had paper on the walls, which was coming off) instead of tiles. Definitely, overpriced for what you get. Good location if you have to go to the hospital

Room adequate, location ok. Owners friendly, but disorganized. . Front door always locked, nobody around to answer the bell.No clean towels for 3 days, then had to ask twice before getting some. Rang me before arrival and texted for arrival time, then nobody there to let us in. Expensive for the standard of room.

Room was warm and bed was comfy. Room was very small and we had trouble opening the door wide enough to fit suitcases in! Tv needs to be turned off at the power source due to a bright blue flashing light which will keep you awake! It is quite far from the city but as we had a car it wasn't a problem. Only concern was we paid for the room plus breakfast and when we went down for breakfast the dining room was closed. After ringing the bell the proprietor said there was going to be no breakfast as it was close to Christmas even though he did not mention this on check in. There was no offer of a refund for the breakfast we paid for but we were offered cereal. Very disappointing for the price.

Very nice and friendly hosts ! Thanks for this warm welcome. Rooms clean, cosy and well equiped. Good food. Very pleasant stay. Selection of breakfast was unclear. Would be nice if breakfast menu basically offered a full English with selection of scramble/poached/fried ... eggs- like any b&b- rather than full English or plain s/p/f eggs.

The gentleman at the reception was super kind indeed and very helpful. The breakfast was ok. The bus stop to the city centre was 5 minutes walk from the hotel. This guest house is at walking distance of the Netherhall Sixth Form College. The central heating was turned off at night. My daughter and I were freezing. The bathroom was so small that one bearly fit in it. The shower was such a reduced recint that caused claustrophobia. The carpets in the room were stained and dirty. The room was also too small, the furniture very old and the bed uncomfortable. About the location: the area itself was very isolated. There were no restaurants, bars or shops nearby. We had to walk +15 minutes to find the first place to eat and also too far to city centre. By all means this place is far from being a Hotel with no chances to be rated as a 4* one.
