Room size was very good which included a sofa and chair walking distance from city centre, Off road parking, but no spaces when we arrived due to party taking place breakfast very tasty
Receptionist was not forthcoming with information, we had to ask about every detail of our stay eg what time was breakfast, where it was served. Had to ask for tea and coffee in room, no milk available, had to go to sainsburys. Only half a toilet roll in bathroom. Wifi only worked when stood by room doorway
Food was very good, bar and restaurant and public rooms were beautifully dressed for Christmas.
The bedrooms desperately needed a makeover - peeling wallpaper made it look really scruffy. Not sure they could have found smaller sizes of toiletries anywhere! Service at breakfast was really slow
our reservation was not confirmed
The three different members of staff that I encountered were all friendly and helpful.
The full English breakfast was largely cold. The loo seat wasn't centralised and the plug /washbasin chain had become separated leaving an unhygienic rust patch on the washbasin.
The lounge and conservatory were pleasant. The stairs were beautiful.
When we arrived and shown to our room we had high expectation as the stairs and lounge were lovely but our room was very disappointing. The wall paper was almost coming off in places and the bathroom was so small and dingy we never had a shower in it. The toiletries advertised consisted of two sachets of shampoo and when we lifted the plug from the side of the sink there was a hole and rust marks.I Know this is a period property and some features were lovely but some were less than you would expect in a 2 star hotel.
Good clean room and excellent restaurant for evening meal
No wine list but a seemingly random sample of wines with no prices!
Charming staff, especially Lucy, nothing was too much trouble. Delightful uniqueness of the Hotel.....decor etc. The bar was a delight. Breakfast was superb. All hotels should be like this and very reasonably priced too !
Lovely hotel ' nice old but with moden touches very elegant , lovely breakfast cooked to perfection lovely stay thank you x
Car park stones little dangerous , when walking in heals from hotel to gate and back. But a fantastic hotel x
Very friendly person met us when we arrived late; well appointed room; good, not over-large cooked breakfast
One tepid pot of tea; otherwise very good.
Great place. Comfortable. Hospitable. No catches.
I would not change a thing. Well done.
fantastic decor and surroundings; great food; comfortable room
i would have liked to have been asked how my stay was/if i slept well/if i enjoyed my stay
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable accommodation with old world feel. Lovely breakfasts.
Front rooms have noisy location. Some attention required to fixtures and fittings. Difficulty getting in and out of driveway due to traffic.
Friendly staff. Very convenient for the railway station.
Breakfast was excellent in a lovely orangery with views of garden.
Traffic noise Lighting in room was pathetic
Comfortable room; unusual decor throughout; easy to find; good parking
Restaurant and bar closed on Sunday evening with no warning at time of booking, or even at check-in without asking; carpeted bathroom floor could be home to anything; poor bathroom lighting; impersonal staff at the time of our visit; creaky floors
For five of the last six years, Hereford County Hospital has been the starting point for the Pink Car Rally. The hotel provided a restful night before the rally and a short distance to go in the morning.
Would have appreciated a rather more comprehensive continental breakfast menu
Handy for town
Bathroom poor Bad attitude of management Strange menu
helpfulness of staff.
no ground floor rooms (I have parkinsons). the sausages at breakfast.
Dust on the skirting board in bathroom. Thick dust on the plant on the table. Handle on the toilet needs attention. A glass in the bathroom would have been nice to rince my teeth. Person at reception didnt seem very happy. Didnt offer to carry my holdall
The hotel is fairly central, very close to the station and it was easy to walk into the City. It has a homely feel. The room was very spacious and well appointed.
There was an unpleasant odour coming from the bathroom when we arrived. The staff who originally met us were not particularly welcoming.
Owners very friendly and helpful.
Sign outside a little small so drove past a few times
Staff very friendly and cooperative
No real value for money, hotel is more a B&B.
