“ Excellent b&b and great welcome. We only stayed here before an early flight from Prestwick so did not get to take full advantage of the experience but will be back. Also recommend the nearby Filippo's Italian diner and ice cream parlour for brilliant food and atmosphere. ”

Excellent accomondation - clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful and knowledgable on the local area. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast in the morning and it set us up for the day ahead nothing

We enjoyed our stay at the Gatehouse, we were made very welcome and the room was out standing as was the breakfast. Really nice family run business will recomend it to family and friends. Couldn't fault it.

Staff were fantastic and very welcoming, location was good (I was attending a wedding nearby) Rather noisy, creaky floorboards, slamming doors, thin walls etc. Also, the radiator in my bathroom was leaking constantly and covered the floor with water. I managed to accidentally soak several items of clothing

My second stay now and I'll most certainly be staying again and again. Comfortable, clean, welcoming and pleasant all round. The family are lovely and so is the dog!

Owners could not do enough to make sure the trip went well. They were very informative about the area and its attractions. Rooms were well equipped and modern, the decoration well thought out. Nice choice of breakfast, kept us going through the day.

Located very near the train station, so it was easy to walk to. Upon arriving we received a very warm welcome. We arrived a bit later in the evening and our host showed that he had been concerned about us and had attempted to contact us to ensure we were alright. Check in was a breeze, within minutes we were in our rooms. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious! One of our rooms had been upgraded to a deluxe room at no extra charge. They had all the comforts of home plus a tea and coffee set just waiting for us. The beds were cozy and warm, the comforter on the bed was thick and luxurious. We mentioned we needed a taxi in the morning and our host called and arranged our taxi for us. He was also kind enough to print out a document for us. We were sad we were only there for 1 night, the entire building was very charming. We were leaving early in the morning, so he made arrangements for our early departure and showed us where to put our room keys. Nothing, our entire stay was perfect.

I took my husband as a wee birthday treat and was very happy the room was immaculate and spotless clean and John and denise were really lovely and very helpful and we have booked again to go back in July and have recommended to our family and friends x
