Had no tv
Efficient staff Comfy, very warm room clean en-suite friendly pub downstairs
Being so close to the town centre is excellent, walking distance of everywhere, even went to the theatre on a "A Play, A Pie and a Pint" night, the theatre is 200 yards away!!
Being woken up on Tuesday night with drunks outside my door, found one lying sleeping in the corridor right outside my room Wednesday Morning, not a pretty sight
My room was clean, comfortable and well presented. The staff were polite, efficient and friendly. The night I stayed, there was a live act in the bar. An enjoyable night, I was made to feel welcome by the regulars too. The Hotel's central location was a definite advantage and has easy access to public transport, as I don't drive this was a major plus for me. All in all, an enjoyable experience at an affordable price. I would certainly stay here again.
Price of a hostel; facilities of a hotel. Friendly staff; friendly clientele. Good self-catering facilities. Nearby parking.
Unemptied bin in my room from previous occupant - with leftover takeaway in it.
Staff really friendly and helpful
The fact you can just check in & check out and get on with it without the rigmarole of the breakfast, mine host routine. Kettle etc in the room, so easy breakfast of a porridge pot is all you need when working, unless you're one of the over weight slurping, grunting 'full English breakfast types, with bursting shirt buttons who sitting opposite, annoy the heck out of me in some hotels. Staff here are really helpful and friendly- and just enough for when you've had a busy day & want food and sleep. Handy for local late night shops & local restaurants for a meal too. Good secure car parking & security. Generally quiet through the night too.
Well this trip, the bed had a bit of a slope, but generally I stay there regularly and all is great. Still think it would be better with a bedside lamp and wifi- good on this occasion is a bit pot luck- they need to put extenders to all rooms to ensure you get a connection. Don;t understand the difference between the room rates- I expected en suite at this rate, but only got sink & shower in room- toilet elsewhere, unlike previous stays, as en suite with a loo is really important for my requirements.
All of it
Shower didnt heat up the water!!
The location is super easy to find. Close to the shopping center the train station and the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staffs were so nice and helpful
The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Liked everything about this budget hotel, I am disabled, I was given the best possible room, far away from music in the bar, I had perfect quiet best place I I have stayed, g Taylor
No complaints at all
Rooms clean and basic ,you get what it says on the pack good budget hotel.very nice people nothing to much trouble ,would stay there again, close to the town and a very good Indian close by called ayr Indian .
The water in the shower was going cold and hot and on the Sunday I had to have a cold shower, but to be fair I did not complain,so they didn't have a chance to make it right.
The hotel was clean. Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who quickly checked us in and showed us around. . There was a communal kitchen for our use complete with microwave and oven. The bar staff were friendly and the prices were very good. An excellent base forexexploring the local area.
Nothing really. It was all very good
Cclose to rail station
Shower didn't work. Room small for two people.
Great little hotel with excellent standards of cleanliness through out...not the mist luxurious of hotels...but ideally located. And superb value for money.
Location was great
Corridors and common areas are a bit dingy and run down
This is a good value place to stay, no frills but paying £350 for 5 nights I don't expect anything fancy. Would recommend to people looking for good value accommodation. Excellent location in Ayr.
The hotel bar has live music on Friday evenings so don't expect an early night, but the rest of the week its very quiet.
No on suite
Up graded to their last double as they had no record of my booking ?? Strange ?
Noice levels on Friday night as had singer until 12.30pm and people leaving. Bed was not very comfortable. Could not find staff when checking out had to leave keys in office.
friendly staff & a nice wee bar.
The cost, cheapest around
Drunk bloke in the bar, they had no record of our reservation, no hot water in the room, TV didn't work.
small room with no window, no guest allowed, the shower completely broken and it was the worst hotel I ever been in my life.
Owner was good and helpful
