Location was great
Corridors and common areas are a bit dingy and run down
No on suite
Noice levels on Friday night as had singer until 12.30pm and people leaving. Bed was not very comfortable. Could not find staff when checking out had to leave keys in office.
friendly staff & a nice wee bar.
The cost, cheapest around
Drunk bloke in the bar, they had no record of our reservation, no hot water in the room, TV didn't work.
small room with no window, no guest allowed, the shower completely broken and it was the worst hotel I ever been in my life.
Owner was good and helpful
liked the location of hotel also staff were very friendly
did not like that i thought i was going for bed and breakfast and only found out in the morning i was not but if u wish u can use the dining room and kitchen for self catering
good shower unit clean bed
tv not working in bedroom corridors stank with smoke
I liked the location near the bus terminal. The rooms were clean and regularly kept. For the price and what they offered it was good value. They don't do meals or bed and breakfast.
In order to work the electric kettle, I had to unplug the TV system not good while watching the news of late night movie. The bath towels, (changed every day), were worn out from washing and on two occasions I received towels that had frayed holes in them. They smelled of industrial laundry powder that was over powering! I could have done with a bedside cabinet. There was no bed and breakfast, so I had to provide my own meals in the kitchen, but the fridge in the kitchen was not big enough to hold the food and milk for a whole hotel of over thirty rooms. It needed a larger, taller refrigerator, one with more industrial space in size for the number of rooms occupied.
good location near beach and high st
This is the second time we have stayed here for the local agricultural show. We always have a great time and the staff are very helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Will be back next year.
Such a nice staff and the adjacent bar is just perfect (meaning cheap and warmly)
Handy town centre location
uncomfortable bed, very poor furnishings and not terribly clean. single room, although it had a shower cabinet and wash hand basin, had a shared toilet across the hall. This toilet was dirty, had no soap or means of drying hands, and a pair of women's knickers had been discarded on the floor. Even for a budget hotel i would have expected a lot more. In fact, most hostels are a lot better than this place. Avoid!!!
We liked the female main member of staff as she was very friendly and tried her best to help and show us around!
Well, where do I start?! We had paid for an en suite room and what we got was a room without a bathroom and had a measly sink in our room! We had a communal bathroom which was dirty and had no toilet paper for 2 days!!! We were meant to stay for 2 nights and left after the first and Didny even get a refund! All in all our weekend was wasted and I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here!
Clean and tidy
Mattress bit uncomfortable
No fuss hotel- bed for the night style with tv, tea & coffee in room- en suite fine. Good clean towels and bed linen. Good places to eat nearby. Staff always friendly and helpful.
Could do with a bedside lamp & hairdryer in the room to make it spot on.
at least 2 brown smears on shower curtain and on shower unit. Would not like to say what it was but have a good idea. Ceiling window in which leaves had got in somehow.
Location in the centre of Ayr. A good value basic hotel - no frills, nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate.
Nothing really, considering the price.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, and new easy to use shower in the room.
Having to use an external toilet. Would have liked a bedside lamp and table.
stayed at ayr town lodge Friday 14th feb till sun 16th feb, had a fantastic stay, the manager david could not do enough to help, also was very friendly. the room was lovely and clean, over all ten out of ten, we will be back very soon.
Staff especially, Carol, were very helpful and friendly. Clean, comfortable room. Kitchen facilities were comprehensive.
Shower was a bit disappointing
the accomodation is adequate and affordable.
Joined onto a bar, quite dirty. Stained bedsheets, old decor spit through walls you can hear the guest next doors whole comversation
