A short walk from the town bridge over the historic Weymouth Harbour, this traditional hotel provides comfortable accommodations, a restaurant and bar, and easy access to the beach, a 10-minute walk...
Score from 972 reviews Very good

Situated on Weymouth’s Esplanade, the family-run Hotel Rex is in an enviable position by the beach. The Channel Islands ferry terminal and the Pavilion Theatre are both only 2 minutes’ walk away.
Score from 421 reviews Very good
a really good option for the ferry services. Very close by and convenient for the town centre too
Friendly welcome, let us into our room early, free tea and coffee in comfy lounge with wide screen tv, comfy bed, Great sea view, very close to sea and shops and restaurants, quiet tho and excellent brekkie.
To was a bit temperamental but we weren't there to watch telly. In the summer with windows open it might be a bit noisy but we stayed in December so not an issue.
Room on the small side with nowhere to put anything
Great location right on seafront lovely room access to tea and coffee all day and night.
Very close to weather's pools so loud on the friday evening at closing.
Comfort of the room and bed, excellent breakfast. Great location with a Wetherspoons next door.
Quilt on the bed was quite thick, therefore too hot.
Classy, minimalist, friendly, helpful, welcoming
nothing at all
free tea and coffee in the lounge staff allowing me to stay in the lounge to catch up with business emails via WiFi for a while before continuing my journey
noise overnight as council erected Christmas lights using machinery in street outside. Humbug!!
cleanliness. position. most of the staff .breakfast
a bit tired
We wanted a B&B close to the harbour, clean and comfy. We were happy with this hotel and will book again. Parking is in a public car park behind the hotel, a few mins walk. Great breakfast!
Not the hotels fault but there is no convenient drop off spot in front of the hotel as it's on the corner of a busy road, we arrived at 10.30pm and annoyed a bus driver because we pulled in for two mins to ask where we could park. We drove around to Park St Car park.
Great breakfast and excellent staff.
The noise from the street. Lots of lorries arrive at the bakers opposite early in the morning making a lie in quite difficult.
We were made very welcome ,we turned up 20 odd min's early and it was not a problem. The unlimited water, tea, coffee and selection of herbal tea's was fantastic, and the cooked breakfast was outstanding.
I am a professional cleaner and i noticed that the shower could do with a proper deep clean in the lip of the door and the plug trap... and a few cobweb's around.
The location of the hotel was great right on sea front. The room was of reasonable size. Facilities in the communal lounge were good and the dining room was adequate and breakfast lovely
We had a "Double Room". It was 2 single beds pushed together. The windows were sash windows and all the sash cords were broken and there was dirty secondary double glazing of a sort.
Michelle was lovely and a great asset to the place.
The Rooms were clean and tidy the staff were polite and helpful the location was excellent
The only thing wrong with the hotel was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room
The welcome from Michelle was extremely friendly. The room was nicely decorated, clean and well equipped. The breakfast was fantastic. Can't fault this well-above-average B&B.
Excellent location, right on the seafront. Good value for money and very clean. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was very good too.
Comfortable Very helpful staff Good breakfast Very accommodating for our 4 month old.
Easy to find, close to restaurants and harbour.
The parking on finding the place
Liked the size of the room along with the lounge area being next to our room3. The receptionist and staff were very friendly.
Didn't like the fact that we got woken up by a dog in the lounge area on Sunday morning. Not sure why you would have pets inside a bes and breakfast. I understand that they couldn't take it in the breakfast room, however taking into the formal lounge with it yapping didn't help us.
We had a great stay, everything was spot on! Great facilities, friendly staff, really clean, fantastic location, and really nice fresh breakfast! We'll be back.
Location, communal area, breakfast.
Cleanliness in room, dark rooms, damp and cold. Mouldy shower plug and lime scale on shower pipe. Mould along bathroom skirting. No blind at bathroom window. Cobwebs in room. TV in one room was too far away to watch and room had a view of bricks and was dark and oppressive.
Really great location on the seafront, and handy for the ferry. Fab breakfast!
Starting to get a bit worn around the edges, though I'm being a bit fussy. The location and breakfast certainly go a long way to making up for that.
this hotel is well situated in the middle of Weymouth. easy to find. greeted by helpful and friendly staff all you can reallly ask of a B and B
Parking but its bad in Weymouth anyway
Buses outside were noisy in the night Quite pricey
Perfect location, good breakfast, excellent sea view, good bed.
Not much drawer space in rooms, few odd jobs and decorating needed
