Lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful. Excellent service and clean, nicely decorated accommodation. My room was on the top floor with sloping ceilings. There were warning signs but I banged my head twice! I shall remember not to next time!!!

An excellent location to stay at for a conference held at The Palace Hotel and half the price. Very clean and friendly. Hope to come gain one day.

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast. Convenient location and easy to find. Plenty of on street parking as well as a small private car park. Babbacombe Downs only a short walk.

Location was brilliant, just a short walk away from the beautiful Babbacombe Downs. Lots of pubs/restaurants/take outs within a short walking distance, and only a five minute drive into Torquay. Pauline and Tony were fantastic and were on hand if needed. The breakfasts were amazing!! Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would recommend this to anyone, and we would definitely stay here again :]

found that the attitude of the owners was somewhat frosty and gave an impression that they did not really want to have under 5 year old's stopping in their rooms.

Room was clean, towels replaced daily. Off-street parking. Got the impression that young children were not welcome at this establishment. Female owner in particular was very frosty and did not even introduce herself. Found her to be very unapproachable. We were put in a tiny room in the attic where you could only stand up straight in the middle of the room. Low level window (unlockable) opening right out on to street so very easy for a child to open themselves and fall out. Not a suitable room for a couple or a couple with a young child.

Location is good close to seaside and local shops. We not was happy about ladies attitude.She not was helpful or friendly to us if we a need something. That is reason why we never don't want come back there.

Very clean and tidy rooms, neat ensuite facilities in our room. The owners are very helpful and approachable. Good location on Babbacombe Rd, near to the downs and Oddicombe beach/the cliff railway. Breakfast was great, decent coffee on offer and any variation on the full English. Overall very good value for money in this part of Torquay. I would stay again. The car-park was a bit awkward, but it's a minor thing and never caused any problems.

Tony and Pauline were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was cooked exactly to our requirements - the best scrambled egg I've had whilst away for some time. The room was very clean and comfortable. The guesthouse is very well situated - just a short walk away from the main downs.

Great location at a good price. Definately would recommend this hotel. Nice and cosy. Very clean and comfortable. Its situated very close to the beach and good eating spots nearby whether its a fish and chips or a curry your after, as well as a tesco express next door. Only downside I would think is there is no bar but there are plenty of bars located closeby.

Pretty much everything. My only criticism is that the en-suite was a bit on the small side,although very nicely done.
