Hotel is situated within 5 - 10 minutes walk of the station and harbour. Room size good, with lovely four poster bed. Cooked breakfast was delicious, with a good choice. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the door of the shower was filthy, with dirt and black mould all around the bottom. Obviously not been properly cleaned for months! However, I pointed this out to reception as I left and they promised the situation would be remedied.
Spacious Four Poster Room
Room faced on to the main road in to Whitby, so road and drunken passe-by noise for most of the night
Location , breakfast and comfort of room , booked into restaurant for evening dinner ,wasn't disappointed .
Nothing at all
A traditional, historical hotel which suited us perfectly as it was comfortable and had a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were smart and friendly but not obtrusive. We were able to park safely for the whole of our stay-which I wish had been longer. The bedroom was large with a plentiful hospitality tray. The bathroom was sparkling clean, roomy and had pleasant toiletries. The food was varied, delicious and plentiful. We will stay here again.
Four poster bed very nice, staff very nice, breakfast vey nice, good parking
Excellent location. Staff very friendly and helpful.. Good breakfast and free parking
The location. Inclusive parking. Friendly staff.
the four poster so cosy...
creaky floor, and hot room..

Location close to town centre, room was spacious comfortable and the bed was perfect for a great nights sleep.Water was hot and the bath and shower were both more than adequate. The staff were very friendly and a visit back will be a certainty.
Location , pubs and restaurants
location for the town centre private parking available staff very helpful changing our room from upstairs to downstairs due to my disability.
two people, only one chair to sit on shower leaked all over the floor toilet did not flush properly often requiring two flushes
Close to town
Price and breakfast
Four poster bed and large shower
Seagulls waking us up, very loudly squawking for hours Whitby was packed and few facilities inside in pouring rain
Couldn't fault it, in fact we were put into main part of hall so didn't actually stay in annex 4. Staff brilliant , very friendly. All good.
Nothing to criticise.
Location perfect got a free upgrade to a fantastic room felt so special
Excellent service from start to finish. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order served by friendly staff. Car park is an added bonus
The historic character of the buildings, particularly Bagdale Old Hall. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom (actually with shower, not bath) was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The mattress and pillows were very firm and uncomfortable. The room had almost full length windows overlooking the car park - not very attractive or, despite the net curtains, very private. The breakfast offering was very old fashioned, with only a very few cereals (in single portion boxes - no decent meusli [bircher or otherwise], granola; no fresh fruit; only one type of yoghurt; truly awful coffee (probably instant, certainly weak).
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
Noise from traffic.
Very comfortable mattress. Lovely bathroom.
Room was too hot. Could only have windows open when we were in the room, but could not leave open at night as room was ground level. Need to have air conditioning installed.
staff excellent , convenient for town centre, it's got character and generally a nice place to stay.
seagulls + we thought a little bit overpriced not vastly but just a bit.
The four poster beds and huge bath
