Location close to town centre, room was spacious comfortable and the bed was perfect for a great nights sleep.Water was hot and the bath and shower were both more than adequate. The staff were very friendly and a visit back will be a certainty.
Location , pubs and restaurants
location for the town centre private parking available staff very helpful changing our room from upstairs to downstairs due to my disability.
two people, only one chair to sit on shower leaked all over the floor toilet did not flush properly often requiring two flushes
Close to town
Price and breakfast
Four poster bed and large shower
Seagulls waking us up, very loudly squawking for hours Whitby was packed and few facilities inside in pouring rain
Couldn't fault it, in fact we were put into main part of hall so didn't actually stay in annex 4. Staff brilliant , very friendly. All good.
Nothing to criticise.
Location perfect got a free upgrade to a fantastic room felt so special
Excellent service from start to finish. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order served by friendly staff. Car park is an added bonus
The historic character of the buildings, particularly Bagdale Old Hall. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom (actually with shower, not bath) was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The mattress and pillows were very firm and uncomfortable. The room had almost full length windows overlooking the car park - not very attractive or, despite the net curtains, very private. The breakfast offering was very old fashioned, with only a very few cereals (in single portion boxes - no decent meusli [bircher or otherwise], granola; no fresh fruit; only one type of yoghurt; truly awful coffee (probably instant, certainly weak).
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
Noise from traffic.
Very comfortable mattress. Lovely bathroom.
Room was too hot. Could only have windows open when we were in the room, but could not leave open at night as room was ground level. Need to have air conditioning installed.
staff excellent , convenient for town centre, it's got character and generally a nice place to stay.
seagulls + we thought a little bit overpriced not vastly but just a bit.
The four poster beds and huge bath
We book a 4 poster bed room which had been confirmed yet on arrival no room and no one new we were coming and ended up in a small double in the attic which spiilt the whole adventure of a day in whitby we will never use booking com of that hotel or any member of is company ever again and will let anyone who askes never to us iether company ever
Very tired and not plush enough for the money - room very hot and stuffy
Friendly and accommodating staff. Very nice surroundings
bedroom was very dusty obviously not checked before our arrival
Staff were excellent and always extremely helpful. Wonderful location very close to the centre. The building had lots of character and original features.
For a hotel of this standard there were a few issues in the room. There were no tissues, toiletries were not replenished for the second night, no plastic bag in the waste basket, no drinking glasses, used bathroom glass not replaced with a clean one and tea cups whilst replaced with clean ones they were stained. Finally the room door and lock were nowhere near as sturdy as they should be in an annex with open access.
Friendly Staff good accommodation and a fine location with carpark which is a bonus in Whitby
Location was very good Staff were friendly
No room on car park In the part where we stayed it looked very rundown from the outside on the Main road. Needs a face lift at the front of the annex
great location, rooms in the old building are better than the annexe if you can get one
Room big and bed comfortable.
Paid £170 for a mismatched room, no bathrobes, tea/coffee very basic for price. Stayed in annex . Building needs refurbishment, front entrance and door needs painting and cleaning. Breakfast very poor. Breakfast started at 0800 and we arrived at 0810. Had the full english. Bacon undercooked, black pudding over cooked, tinned mushrooms, I had a totally different sausage on my plate to my wife both cheap, cheap orange juice( observed the waitress's pouring from the carton) all this for a price tag of £170. Having driven over 200 miles to visit friends, feel like we have been mugged
Comfortable room, friendly and attentive staff and hearty breakfast. Great location in heart of Whitby yet quiet enough for relaxation
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the evening o my sy - it as been very good on past visits
The location is great, walking distance from everything and parking for hotels guests
The one thing I struggled with was the creaking four poster bed, but it is a very old building, everything else made up for it
Very nice staff, comfortable room and great location.
Food ok but not great. A bit more information about the origin of Bagdale Hall would have been interesting.
