The Bahamas Hotel offers high-quality guest accommodation on a bed-and-breakfast basis, with ample free parking for all hotel guests. The guest house has a great location, just a short, level walk from Torquay’s main beach and promenade. A further 10-minute walk along the promenade will bring you to the marina and the main shopping area. Closer still are the recently restored Torre Abbey and the English Riviera Centre, with its conference, sporting and leisure pool facilities. As part of a process of continuous improvement, The Bahamas has recently refurbished some bedrooms, which all include a work desk, tea/coffee facilities and a private bathroom. Hotel Rooms: 11

This is a nice hotel to stay at that is not too far from the sea front. The owners are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is very good. This is the third time we have stayed here for a short break and would be happy to come again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We were also very impressed with the cleanliness of the Hotel throughout. It was a little far to walk to the centre of town if you have small children out of pushchairs.

We had booked this weekend away as I had buried my Dad the day before, this was to get away from everything. It worked a treat, the hotel room we stayed in was gorgeous, lovely and luxurious. The Owners are very friendly and very lovely people. We loved it so much we are going back at the end of August and we are treating my in laws.

This is a nice comfortable hotel that is not far from the sea. The rooms are clean and tidy and the breakfast is excellent. The owners are friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and would happily stay there again.

The attentive approach of the staff, the manager had the best customer service attitude I had seen in a long time. The food was good and the area was lovely and quiet. Having stayed at hundreds of hotels, you set your own personal benchmark. I think that this hotel needs investment into new comfortable beds, better showers(powered) and a more flowing decor.
