Bailbrook House, Bath  

Lovely decor in new rooms, very good quality and comfortable.

The response of the General Manager and the staff at the hotel where they did try to make amends for some of our honeymoon experience.

It was like honeymooning on a building site, no facilities which was not reflected in the price. I had a hair in my food, my husband had burnt bacon, we struggled to get on and off the site due to LGV's blocking the road, health and safety on the site was also poor. We made several complaints and it is also noted that the refurbishment is in the small print and gives no idea of when it will end. Considering that it started in October, it could be expected that more work had been done than was the reality.

The staff were so lovely and helpful from the minute we walked in, everyone had a smile. The receptionist provided us with lots of useful information about the area. The food at the hotel resaurant was delicious, excellent evening meal and breakfast was outstanding. Excellent service. Great free car parking, waking distance into bath.

Our room was a little dated and the bathroom needed a spruce up but there were building improvements happening during our stay.

The staff were really friendly and attentive. The hotel was lovely and modern and very comfortable. It was great to have free wi-fi to plan our visit to bath and the reception team were really helpful in suggesting a route into the city and some places to go.

although the building work on the main house was mostly confined & we could hear hardly any noise from it at all, there were building materials along the route to the rooms which made it look a little scruffy.

Lovely hotel ideal for special occasions,at the moment it is under refurbishment but that did not stop us enjoying the delightful large spacious room decorated to a high standard. So lovely to have a room where you do not hear people in the room next door. Could not fault it at all. Staff were highly trained and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good with wide range to choose from.

One thing only, the chef needs to learn how to make scrambled eggs!

Second room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rebuilding is causing problems. First room had a fault in the extractor fan that kept us awake all night. We were promptly relocated

We were upgraded to a newly renovated part of the hotel. The room was so comfortable. Your staff member Illona is an absolute credit to your company. I can honestly say she is genuinely excited about the renovations and the new hotel. She could not have been more helpful explaining the features of the room and assisting us with anything we needed. She even printed some information for me on the history of Bailbrook House. We felt very welcome and comfortable. All the other staff we had dealings with were also excellent.

Maybe a free shuttle bus that leaves every couple of hours would be ideal, instead of having to get a taxi to and from town.

We knew the refurb was underway but woken at 730 by construction noise.

The hotel is in the outskirts of Bath.Its only 15 minutes drive to the longstay carpark in charlotte street.The staff was extremely polite and helpful.The stay was plesent

We would have enjoyed more if there was no extensive buildingworks going on.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable.

The shower was not very powerful and difficult to adjust.

Hotel is still undergoing refurbishment so some issues are inevitable. Some staff are clearly new/inexperienced and in need of training but all are friendly.

10/10, couldn't have asked for a better break away, room was luxurious, staff ever so friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious. 100% would recommend to anyone.

Third visit to Bailbrook house.Liked the countryside location,and well-organised friendly hotel,bus stop to Bath nearby.

Big renovation of accommodation at present(March 2013),building work started at 7am.Sure it will be fantastic by the summer though.

Lovely hotel. Very large rooms with king sized bed. Totally clean and well presented. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was a buffet style and top notch. Really enjoyed our stay! If your thinking of going there just do it!

The friendliness of the staff who wanted to ensure you were enjoying your stay. Even though the hotel was undergoing improvements nothing was too much trouble. we had a very warm welcome on arrival.

Rooms decoration could be better

Good value for the price and a lot cheaper than staying in the centre of Bath which is just a short bus ride away and stops right outside the hotel. Room was a little dated and the beds a little hard for me but overall it was clean and spacous. In the morning there is a good selection for breakfast. The staff are friendly and when we first arrived we couldn't get the heater to work, but they were fast to act and it was quickly sorted. We would certainly stay again and Bath is well worth a visit at this time of year with the Christmas market stalls and lights as added highlights.

Very big and comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. Reception staff were helpful and welcoming.

It is in need of a refurbishment, needs new carpets etc and a coat of paint. Believe this is happening next year. However this didn't really affect our stay.

Cobwebs in room. Dated and in need of refurb. Carpets very soiled. Lack of walk in shower.
