Fine building, excellent friendly staff, comfortable room. Good locaion.
Hard to think of anything. Check-out was a touch slow. But only because the staff member was being so attentive to the couple ahead of us.
The staff and the best hotel breakfast ever
Just wish the had been a pool
Decor and 'Old World Charm' Hospitality was V. Good
Prices of Food/Drink. Had to send our undercooked and tepid meals served onl cold plates back. Very cold in bar and room. So cold we came away a day early. Many foreign staff had communication problems.
Friendliness and professionalism of the staff Beautiful rooms and location Excellent breakfasts Wonderful welcoming ambiense.
Made the booking and paid for it in full.I was contacted a couple of weeks later and told they had made a mistake and double booked our 3 rooms so we would have to stay somewhere else. I said 'no' and in the end was allowed to stay. Booked an upgraded room but didn't get it. My son asked for a Gluten Free Brownie, was given a normal one and spent the night and next morning being ill in the bathroom. Came away being very disappointed,
The duty manager went above and beyond the call of duty to resolve the situation to our major problem to ensure we had a memorable stay.
Even though we placed our order for two nights in the mansion house in August and had it confirmed we were contacted by bookings .com two days before our stay to say that the hotel was overbooked. ??? Still don't know who had overbooked. The hotel or booking company.
PIt was a nice stay at bailbrook. Only issue was when arriving they offered us a nicer room for £150 extra. To be honest as it was my birthday and the afternoon on a Saturday they could of just upgraded us for free. Room was nice and comfortable, bed was amazing.
Breakfast was ok, but when asking for an omelette it took 20 minutes which was terrible.
Staff Friendly and efficient Cleanliness Everywhere Bed extremely comfortable Food very good Good hot shower Fresh milk in room fridge instead of awful uht milk!
A bit of a trek into Bath and the drive up to Hotel very steep....but we love a challenge!
Lovely peaceful room and comfortable bed. Good breakfast to start the day. Had some evening meals in the conservatory lounge which were very tasty.
Unfortunately we could not get Sunday lunch because they were fully booked so that was a bit disappointing. Essentials were not replenised in the bathroom ie toilet paper and had to ask room attendant for supplies.
Reception staff very polite and helpful. Room very comfortable. Lovely setting. Would recommend.
Only one very minor issue - different staff told us differing check out times.
We had a wonderful stay at The Bailbrook. The building was impressive, our room and bathroom was modern, fresh and absolutely spotless. The decor was tasteful and a nice surprise was the fresh milk in the 'fridge, not the usual long life pots. The wardrobe lit up when the doors were opened and there was plenty of spare bedding, together with dressing gown and slippers. We couldn't fault it. Breakfast was delicious and taken in the spacious dining room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will be returning!
Nothing, our stay was faultless.
On arrival we were offered an upgrade at a discounted rate which we accepted (it being a special occasion). Staff were very polite and courteous and room was very comfortable. Views were lovely.
Slightly out of the town (1.7 miles) but really quite walkable.
the room and bathroom, breakfast brilliant.
I think the hotel area and breakfast room, was a bit sterile and too much light, no fresh flowers.
Breakfast the size of the bedroom the staff were great beautiful hotel very comfortable would love to visit again
Room, bathroom, very comfy large bed, food, parking space, location
I liked everything!
We had cream tea the first afternoon which was delicious. The greeting we received on arrival was wonderful and all the staff were so friendly all weekend. Excellent food in the restaurant Cloisters and the buffet breakfast offered plenty of choice with an option to order other food such as pancakes and kippers. Really great hotel in a beautiful location.
Our room on the ground floor was not very well sound proofed so late night revellers coming back woke us up.
The rooms we're very clean and tidy, the bathroom especially was very modern and clean. It was a more expensive option for hotels in the area and was worth it. The breakfast was excellent. A lot of options and varieties. The service was very good at breakfast too. A good selection of fruits and vegetarian options too.
The shower in the bathroom. It had no power to it at all and was like showering in the rain outside. Pointless trying to wash my long hair.
Good location, frequent buses into city across the street from hotel, grounds lovely for 6 year old to run around. Comfy bed and good buffet breakfast. See didn't like for disappointing booking.
Booked on line room for myself, daughter and 6 year old grandchild and DEFINATELY asked for a roll up bed for her-all that was available was a baby cot! She had to curl up like a mouse to sleep. Big disappointment otherwise hotel excellent.
Food was excellent although service was slow.
We had to request steak knives, and then only two were available between 3 guests. Waitress started to clear plates while 1 of our party was still eating. I checked my watch - it was only 8.30 and food was served until 9.30.
A beautiful location with warm, friendly staff.
The staff were all very helpful. The room was lovely, very spacious, nicely furnished and beautifully clean and contained everything you could need. The included breakfast was very good and the service throughout our stay was excellent. Set in beautiful grounds. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel was perfect for a romantic getaway.
Comfort of room
Some Condescending Staff Failed light switching to room
Good location, very nice surrounding environment, very well presented rooms, excellent restaurant and excellent staff
some hairs in the bath but otherwise very clean
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was second to none.
It's a shame there weren't more dining experiences in the main building which is beautiful.
