Relaxed & comfortable. Quiet, peaceful with beautiful gardens. Superb breakfast in a delightful room with perfect ambience. Small hotel where you get the personal touch
Standard room quite small. Window jammed shut. Cobwebs & spiders in bedroom & bathroom. All of this reported & dealt with immediately & constructively.
We liked the location/area, service and Breakfast was excellent.
That decoration to the twin room was tired with a distinctive aroma of damp. The shower room although adequate for our short stay, was very small, the shower leaked at a joint with the control difficult to operate to reduce the temperature.
beautiful breakfast, and lovely gardens.
a bit far from the city centre, we had a very small room, also the basin was in the bedroom and not the bathroom.
staff breakfast location linen towels sheets
the beautiful décor, four poster beds, fabulous cooked breakfast and convenient location just outside Bath - so free car parking!
small, ugly and out of date bathroom
Staff very friendly and helpful Great breakfast Quiet and peaceful Easy bus ride into Bath centre Relaxed atmosphere
Beds were a bit uncomfortable
Really nice room. The style of the house is absolutely charming. Friendly staff.
Breakfast a bit late for business travelers (menu can be ordered from 8:00am). The temperature of the shower cannot be set (too hot for me; I would like colder water...).
Difficulty in getting Wi fi connection shower thermostat set too hot Room really hot would help to have fans available
the accommodation was high standard great view and high quality breakfast. It was quiet & located about 20 mins drive from CBD
Good location Helpful and friendly staff Great breakfast Good size car park Nice room Will be staying again
well there were to many cobwebs i can understand as the celings are very high, but my partner does not like spiders as she has a fobia with spiders
Staff were very friendly, good atmosphere. Would go again
Georgian atmosphere. Garden. Breakfast well done with good choice, Beds comfy. Quiet. Good selection tea coffee in room....
Shower was too hot, we did mention it, was difficult to reduce temperature. Not very accommodating re leaving the car for a few extra hours due to a coach arrival but that would not use all the spaces available.
Breakfast excellent Situation of hotel in nice grounds
As 4 star hotel not impressed with had basin in bedroom Found over head show inconvenient as it could not be removed A board at entrance advertised evening meals which were obtainable I think this was misleading and should nave been replaced
No evening food available, no bar
Interesting old building with Character and charm Nice pleasant staff
Very tired looking rooms And decor needs updating
Good breakfast choice. Plenty of free car-parking. Complimentary bottled water in room.
Would have liked shower cubicle instead of roll-top bath with hand-shower attachment, although admit latter more in keeping with Regency period building!
Friendly staff ,excellent freshly cooked breakfast good choice.Nice comfortable rooms very clean and spacious.
Bit isolated as nothing nearby,no real facilities for staying at lodge.10-15 minutes drive or 20 mins bus to bath £10 taxi ride.
Justine - the owner was really pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful with a good choice. Rooms were extremlly clean and comfy.
although booking.com advised no deposit would be taken a £40 for each of the 2 rooms we booked was taken. Be preparded to walk up plenty of stairs.
The Reception, convenience, comfort, view, service, breakfast and price.
tight parking for large car.
Nicely decorated room. Loved the 'Slipper' bath in the en-suite. Easy access into the city centre via the number 13 bus.
Would be nice if breakfast in bed was an option! The breakfast time could be extended - 8 until 10 perhaps?
Beautiful old lodge just outside Bath easy trip by bus to city centre, good car parking, lovely appointed English rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Easy access to Bath, 25 minute walk on the level. Lovely breakfasts.
Comfortable and clean beds, polite staff, good breakfast
The room was small and there was no shower or toilet paper !! Probably could do with a refurb as decor very dated
Friendly welcoming staff, very good value for money, excellent breakfast, character property.
no dislikes whatsoever
