The staff were first class and couldn't do enough to make one it a pleasant stay
The bathroom facilities in the Garden suite were very poor indeed, given the price of the accommodation. The quality of food (breakfast) was similarly poor, given the cost of the accommodation. Staff working in the kitchen and dining room, located above the suite could be clearly heard moving about and operating equipment from about 6 am onwards.
frieindly staff... good breakfast menu... good value on the discounted rate... lovely building...
a little to far out of town especially in the winter... no proper bar and only limited snacks available after breakfast... very poor 02 network coverage... not told about free wifi... limited supply of coffee and milk. and toilet rolls... (available when asked for)... rooms small by modern standards...
All the little extras such as fresh coffee available in the room and choc mints on the pillows. The room was furnished superbly and nice and warm. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown around the lodge, which is in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was very good indeed and plenty of it. We would definitely stay again.
That our stay was over, I didn't want to go home!
The location was very pretty, the service and breakfast was second to none, the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly
Helpful staff Awesome manager Room was nice, classy Area was quiet, taxi away from centre Front yard for relaxation
This is a great place to stay. The breakfast was fantastic and the beds are really comfortable. The staff are very helpful, particularly Phil. Nothing was too much trouble and we even received a bottle of wine in our room for free as a Christmas treat! Would definitely stay here again
Nothing. We had a car so the location was fine for us. Without a car it is a bit of a walk into Bath city centre. Can easily get the bus into town.
Although the four poster was the sell to me, I paid £307 for three nights. The price rose to £450 after I had booked. I would have been disappointed at that price. That said we had a great stay. Good food and what I would expect as decore for this old property. The roaring fire in the lounge area was nice. It is a 1/2 hour walk to the city along a straight road that takes you direct to the cathedral. You would have to jog to do the 20 mins quoted.
The duvet kept spiking us as it Was filled with feathers.
Nice locations and size rooms
Our four poster bed had two small single mattress pushed together which was a little uncomfortable at time, this was slightly disappointing and a let down....
A lovely building with a cosy atmosphere. Lovely log fires and a bar you would have in your own lounge! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. They even congratulated us on our anniversary with Champagne! Will stay there again.
I liked everything I can o comment on one thing in paticular
Easy location and easy getting into town.
I thought the room was a little small for its size. The bed took up most of the room. Also the manhole was blocked and a nasty smell was coming from there. Told the manager and he quickly took care of it. Job done..
Every thing would go back tomorrow wr were made to feel so welcome
Nothing except bath was bit high to get in and out of for me i am disabled to a certain degree
Everything was spot on
The comfortable beds. The lovely cosy lounge .There was a good choice of cereals etc and excellent cooked breakfast .The lounge with a warm fire was idea for drinking our late night caps .
That we had to leave after three days to go home
The welcome was lovely, the drinks and bics in the room were great. The breakfast was plentiful and good.
The very lumpy mattresses in our room. The cold bathroom and the shower that was either scorching or freezing.
The location was good on a bus route into Bath four pounds return, The Lodge was very welcoming the staff were lovely also. The room was very nice and comfy warm also. The breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and very nicely presented.
There was some noise from the rooms above .
hotel setting Bedroom comfort
too far from town centre Waiting around for check in Waiting around for bar service
Location accessible easily by road.could leave the car and take the bus into Bath We liked the en suite bathroom, the comfortable beds, the range of food at breakfast
Window in room would not open It was stuffy at night.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, with a very good choice of good quality food.
A room with a shower cubicle was apparently not available (we were not advised of this until we were shown the room after checking in), So very time consuming to get ready using a small slipper bath. Felt that the hotel would benefit from some refurbishment works.
Friendly staff, Comfortable warm room. Breakfast
Squeaky floorboards on the room above. Early morning noise from the kitchen below.
Not too far out of town but made stay reasonable cost wise. able to leave car outside of check in times to avoid car parking in city centre not too far to walk in but the buses were reliable got to see some more out of the way parts of Bath by walking/ bussing in over the stay
everything was fine
Breakfast is amazing and staff are lovely and attentive :)
The room was in a poor state, the carpets were grubby and stained, the coffee table was broken, the canopy above the bed was at eye level so you could see all the dust and dead insects. In all the room looked tired and uninviting. When we complained we were told the someone had left the windows open and that the stains were water marks! We ended up leaving and we're told that they could have charged us the full rate of £160.00 but they would let us off.still charged booking fee though.
