This Georgian Grade II listed country house is excellently situated one mile from the city centre.

Awarded 4 stars by the AA under the Guest House Accommodation listing, the 8 rooms overlook the gardens and lawns, and the Avon Valley. The remaining rooms overlook the grounds of Bailbrook House, a splendid Georgian mansion designed by the famous architect John Everleigh.

In addition to the delightful terrace, there is an extensive lawn surrounded by mature trees and plants – the perfect setting for a stroll or a quiet drink on a summer's day or evening. The owners take pride in their privately-owned hotel, and staff are committed to assisting you in any way possible to provide you with a memorable stay.

Cancellation

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 40.00 will be charged.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and extra beds

All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.

All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots.

All older children or adults are charged GBP 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.

Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Deposit

A fixed amount of GBP 40 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

A friendly Hotel small but cosy room ,lots of extras ,good location,was able to leave the car and use frequent bus service excellent Breakfast.

very limited bar service.Some rooms up 4 flights of stairs

The friendly staff

1. No wash Basin in toilets 2. No lifts. Elderly and oap find it difficult to go up two floors 3. No facily for contacting room services from the room.

The breakfast was excellent

My room was damp the shower did not get hot and was almost impossible to
turn on. Nothing was done about it. Loo had no handle. Felt it was poor
value for money.

The reception staff were exceptionally helpfull

We stayed in two seperate room during our stay due to booking problems and both double beds were made up of 2 single mattresses (one of the rooms was the four poster suite) which didnt make for a comfortable night sleep.

The area was quiet and non commercial. The windows opened to a great view.

The beds were a bit old and our first room was quite small, but ok.
