Chegamos fora de horas (depois das 24h) e a casa estava totalmente encerrada. A recepcionista atendeu-nos com maus modos. Os quartos eram fracos e a limpeza deixou muito a desejar. Pelas fotografias parecia um lindo hotel mas os espaços verdes que supostamente circundam o hotel estão vedados com excepção do relvado do qual foram tiradas fotografias da fachada. Os quartos sao pequenos e atarrancados, as fechaduras dos quartos funcionam mal. Extremamente caro, pagamos o equivalente a um hotel bom de quatro estrelas mas o nível estava muito aquem dos standards. Reservamos duas noites e quando verificamos que não correspondia ao pretendido quisemos desisitr da segunda noite e obrigaram-nos a pagar. Lamentável!!!

We were up graded to a 4 poster bedroom.

The bathroom was a little small.

After booking a room with a 'bathroom' which was actually a shower room we were upgraded to a better room which was very pleasant. The hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were very good indeed, cooked well, with good quality ingredients. We took the car into Bath each day as it would have been quite a long walk. Despite being very close to a busy roundabout, the hotel was very very quiet. We would stay here again.

Hotel very quiet in the evening and a drive away from city centre. However an excellent country eating pub within walking distance.

A pleasant room on the third floor with a fourposter bed and view over the garden. The most memorable aspect of our stay was possibly the best breakfast we have had at any British hotel. Cooked individually, served on hot plates, plenty of it and delightful staff to do the serving.

With heavy luggage and no lift a room on the third floor could be a difficulty for some. The hotel is on the further outskirts of Bath but is within walking distance. Although the notice mentioned evening meals these were not served at the hotel.

The hotel had easy access from the motorway, had a lot of character and the staff were very friendly

It was a beautiful building and the rooms where very tidy, of high quality and comfortable.

A bit difficult to find London road coming from Bath town. Jane Austin (suite name) spelt incorrectly (should be Austen).

Welcoming staff, very friendly. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which over looked the garden. The room was spacious and we had the most comfortable bed!! We had been travelling for over a week and stayed in a different guest house/hotel each night. Bailbrook Lodge was definitely the nicest place we stayed.

Staff were attentive without being intrusive, good local information readily forthcoming.

Daniel could not have made us feel more welcome or helped us more. He is a shining example of how hotel staff should all behave. We were also upgraded to a four poster room as this was a belated honeymoon and this really topped off our holiday :-) The hotel is clean and the breakfast is the best we have ever had at any hotel! And best of all, all this is affordable. Thank you so much for a wonderful and refreshing hotel experience!

Not always enough parking and you get into trouble with the owner if you park out of the allocated spot! Beware ;-)

The staff were always asking whether we required anything further. They were always willing to enter into a conversation with us. They were very attentive. The breakfast every day for the 7 days we were there, was excellent. The variety of fresh fruit, and the cooked breakfast was always hot. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
