The rooms were so much better than we expected.

First impression of outside of building wasnt great.

I stayed on a number of occasions for multiple night stays over the last 4 weeks. Richard and his staff were very helpful and accomodating. If I am back in the area, I will use the hotel again.

I was in the room with no windows. I wasn't made aware of this when booking and whilst the staff were accomodating saying that I didn't have to stay if I didn't like the room, as it was already early evening I didn't want to start looking for a hotel at that time. Booking.com should make guests aware of this when booking so they have a chance to seek alternatives. Being in the room with no windows was not a problem in itself as I was on an in/out business trip. However, I was surprised that the bathroom had no fan or forced ventilation which could have been a problem with steam/damp.

Clean and good food. Friendly staff.

Room not really appointed for women. Needs mirror in the room and shelf in bathroom! A more comfortable chair possibly? A sitting room that was not a bar and a more obvious way of attracting staff attention especially on arrival and at meal times.

What a great find. I was looking for country and got seaside as well. The area is beautiful and the owners are locals and can fill you in on all the best places to visit and they were 100% correct on all of them, beautiful area to visit. The hotel was busy during the week, but still quiet and friendly and the rooms were great. Clean, warm, big and recently renovated. There's a coffee shop at street level, which serves the best homemade ice cream as well.

The bar area seemed to be dull and not much light, (Possibly the weather).I asked for a single room when booking the room, when arrived give me a double room, which i asked to be changed.

if your contracting at Sellafield its a very good choice short term. clean rooms & friendly staff. nice bar.

the public areas could do with a bit of a tidy up. reception never seems to be open so you have to hunt down a staff member. i woudn't want to stay here long term, however please remeber you get what you pay for.

Easy to find comfortable good food

It had good food, clean room and a comfortable bed. Thats all I wanted on this trip so was perfect for me

Very Friendly staff for example we were told at breakfast there is no menu you can have anything you want. Extensive dinner menu all cooked by one man who did a wonderful job - first class Seafront location Overall our group had a good time.

First impressions count and it looks a bit scruffy, the Communal areas need modernising and clutter needs to be moved. I appreciate the hotel is currently being renovated and I'm sure in time they will get it right. I don't wish to be too negative but the little things that could be done would make a big difference.

Very basic, smoke in dining room and shouting from kitchen. Basic standard of furnishing, no real reception of welcome on arrival. The hotel seems to mainly cater for site workers for local area and is not really tailored toward mid to high level business market.

The room was shabby and cold. The walls are paper thin so you could hear everything from the room next door.

The hotel was very clean

Breakfast was only served between 6-8am which is early was . Had food in the restaurant at the hotel as there is no other option in walking distance the food was nice but I feel it was a bit overpriced and the atmosphere was lacking in the dining room .

Tv remote didnt work. Creaky floorboards. Bar area seating wasnt arranged very well.
