The room was spacious considering there was a king sized bed and a set of bunk beds in it. The description of the family room was misleading. We stayed in the first floor family room which should have had views over the village and sea. It didn't. We had a view of the roofs of an joining housing estate. Also, there was reported a restaurant - there wasn't unless bar meals classify as a restaurant.

Very light, spacious and airy bedroom with lovely view. Good cooked breakfast. Down to earth, hardworking staff. Convenient for the locations we wanted - seeing family in Crail, and visiting other Fife east coast locations. Pleased with the bar meal we had there. Loads of parking. Friendly local users of the bar facilities. Summary - friendly informal hotel, ideal for our purpose. It did not affect us directly, but it might be worth considering renovation of the outside of the hotel, its a bit forbidding.

Enjoyed the large bedroom with wonderful window outlook, large comfortable bed with attractive bedding. Bright airy breakfast room and breakfast cooked to order. Dinner one evening was very good. Staff were very polite and capable. Entry to hotel reception from car park was not attractive and a little bit offputting for newly arriving guests. Reception area itself was a bit limited.

Very clean - good towels. Fantastic breakfast - large quantities, good quality, cooked fresh to order and an excellent vegetarian full cooked breakfast option - rare to find in Scotland! Not a complaint but do not be put off by the entrance to reception - I nearly turned away but so glad I didn't. Initial impressions are not true of this hotel at all.

the management were very friendly. The breakfast was hot and very well cooked. It was excellent. We had a problem with the bathroom and the manager gave us another room. It was dealt with very efficiently although the first room was a superior room to the second one.

We liked the location of the hotel and the size of the room which was very big and had great views. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of car parking space available. We had dinner in the bar downstairs which was good. The breakfast was also good.

Very comfortable room - looked welcoming as soon as we walked in. Loved the massive bed, the powerful shower and the very tasty breakfast - luxery and suprising considering for the bargin price we paid for our one might stay - would definately use it again. When we first arrived after a long day the hotel looked in poor repair from the outside and we thought we had made a bad choice. Luckily, as soon as we got inside we realised it was 1005 better inside. Would recommend abit of maintainance with the outside of the building - it gives the wrong impression for passers by. It is much better than it looks from the outside!!!

The Hotel is well presented with a lovely inner staircase, the room was clean but a little bit shabby, with panels missing from the bathroom, unused wall brackets and dated furniture. It was comfortable but a little bit of attention to detail would help lift the look. The cost was £25 more than anywhere else which is probably why it was the only hotel in the area left with available rooms on a busy period.
