The hotel is ideally placed in Fife to get to many tourist attractions and golf courses. Also just 10 minutes away a train service to Edinburgh and takes less that 1 hour.
very nice house, there is big garden behand the building of the hotel. the room is big and bed is very comfortable.
we arrived a little later, it seems a little difficult to finde the hotel in dark night
No bath in our bathroom
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff on duty, clean and comfortable roomy hotel with a good range of facilities. Disable friendly.
On site resturant pricing tend to be high, although good availability.
From the moment I stepped foot into this hotel I felt at home. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were better than I expected. The food was top quality. The breakfast was not a buffet style, it was served up for you from scratch and was absolutely brilliant. It was indeed a pleasure to stay at this hotel. I would give it 90 out of a hundred easily. This place is ideally set in lovely grounds, relaxing, quiet and if you need the pool or spa its there! Even a complimentary newspaper!
I personally could not find fault at this hotel. The staff, the food, the location was spot on.
Staff were wonderful. Room was much larger than I had expected. Breakfast was good. On-site gym facility with pool was nice. Highly recommended.
Nice hotel, clean, friendly and nice food
Staff Two storeys only Food very nice
our room over the kitchen, staff banging and crashing putting out the rubbish, and laughing outside under our window. beds old and spongey
Big and beutifull room and speccialy pool.
Friendliness, comfort and cleanliness( we were very fortunate to be in room 201!) Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Good leisure facilities, polite and friendly staff.
Got into our rooms early, had a snack before getting ready. Staff very friendly and helpful
Nothing not to like
Interesting location at the end of a tasteful estate of nice houses although very difficult to find without SatNav. Pleasant gardens, large car park. Helpful restaurant staff and pleasant receptionist. Pleasant rooms, spacious single room with lovely ensuite shower.
Tired looking Hotel on approach with rather outdated decor. The "Spa" doesnt merit the term, it is just a swimming pool with sauna. Hadnt realised that it was a dog friendly Hotel, not that the dogs I saw caused a problem, but wouldnt have booked it had I realised. Noisy children with a party of adults, one of whom shrieked very loudly at every opportunity. The children concerned piped down when I asked them to at 10.30pm when I had earlier phoned reception to complain and nothing appeared to have been done. When I mentioned this in passing to a man who turned out to be the owner as we were leaving next morning, he made no apology but made excuse that such guests would take no notice of them requesting that their children to be quieter.
We loved the bed!! So comfortable! The room was spacious, with a lovely view, light coming in from two sides.
The reception staff were excellent. In particular Kayleigh was really helpful. The pool was great. Breakfasts were good. The grounds were lovely. Made travelling with a toddler easy
front office staff
The location was just perfect, with easy walking and access. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful and quick to help.
Our stay was to short!
the staff and the room itself were excellent, thanks
bar area too quiet
Friendly ,welcoming staff. Excellent ,reasonably priced food. Comfortable and airy room, with a lovely view over the delightful gardens.
Very nice rooms, friendly staff, excellent food. We enjoyed the pool. One of the best hotels of our trip to Scotland!
Rooms were far apart, in two different houses.
The room was an excellent size and the pool/gym facilities are excellent.
The room was a little dated.
Clean room, three beds as requested, clean shower, good water pressure, functional bathtub, excellent restaurant, excellent (and cute) staff members, HEATED TOWEL RACKS, breakfast and dinner selection amazing, hotel clean, great parking availability and spaces between cars, not noisy at all--could not hear other guests. If we come back through this way again, we WILL stay here.
Spiders, really hard to de-humidfy room after showers without keeping windows open, Wi-Fi didn't work well and stopped working after awhile
Staff were very friendly and willing to help in any way they could. Food was very good. Room was good but a bit noisy as it was above the bar and a wedding was in progress.
Very difficult to find as there are two post codes. Ended up in a housing estate and had to knock on a door for directions. Staff are aware of the situation and do their best to help.
Good staff, great facilities, sweetened the deal with a free room upgrade.
