Perth used to be the capital of Scotland and has obviously been a very wealthy city. I would have loved to have seen it then. Unfortunately it is now much like many cities and very run down. Most things in Scotland are beautiful and I was really looking forward to Perth but found that the surrounding areas were much better than the City centre. So sorry as I would have loved to have said it was great. Glasgow and Edinburgh are obviously big vibrant cities and I expected Perth to just have a little of this.

We were too early in the year for a number of attractions unfortunately. Come after the end of March. However, the Black Watch Museum was excellent especially if in to military history. You can have a guided tour which is very very informative, excellent in fact. The restaurant, Kisas, was very good.

    A small/compact City.

A small/compact City. Historic and the New Museum is fantastic. There are many independent shops as well as the shopping centre. Plenty of good eateries and coffee shops. well placed for walking or cycling the river has footpaths along it and is well maintained. A lively theatre/live event scene too.

We were in Perth for one night only to see the Dnipro Opera...

We were in Perth for one night only to see the Dnipro Opera Company from Ukraine perform La Boheme at the city's concert hall. But the city is well known to us. Parts of Perth are looking a little down at heel these days but it is still a pleasant city to visit with lots of facilities and good eateries. We ate at the excellent Both3rs Italian restaurant before the opera. Good value and delicious food.

People are friendly, the mix of old buildings and modern ones are great, city centre could do with a big investment, lots of empty premises, if you want a haircut, nails done or a fast food takeout then you have plenty to choose from.

We were returning guests, as this is our hotel of choice when visiting Perth. The hotel has been tastefully refurbished, and is well maintained and has a high standard of housekeeping. The rooms are bigger than average, very comfortable and cosy, and nicely furnished. The staff, as always, are very welcoming and helpful. A big bonus, now, is the hotel's Nepalese and Indian restaurant, the Shimla Inn, recently opened on the ground floor, with amazing food on offer.

i am super glad that i choose this hotel, LOVED every bit of my stay. The location is in the middle of Scotland, the service from the staff was spot on, which made my stay very comfortable. There was a Fancy Bar&Restaurant which resided inside the hotel. And to top it off there was a complimentary breakfast as well. Overall it was a pleasant experience which ticked all of my boxes and I would love to come back here.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent for walking around. It's close to everything. I appreciate that it is a pet-friendly hotel and pretty quiet. Also, the darkening window shades were great. There was a breakfast offered, but I opted to go out so can't speak to its quality.

We had a lovely large room with good views over the garden. The room was clean, warm and had everything we needed. Food was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a good location close to Perth, but there were some good local walks along the river and to Huntingtower Castle.

Centrally located in a Perth. Plenty of room in the suite. David is a wonderful host and amazing chef! He made buttery, flaky croissants for our breakfast in the morning and served eggs Benedict with the best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever tasted!
