The service was great, the room was spacious and comfy with the requested cot waiting for us. Lovely breakfast included in the price and the location couldn't have been better.
Not a bad experience but a shame the car park wasn't a bit bigger. We did manage to find close parking though and it wasn't too expensive.
Its location was good
insufficient parking,no lift,rooms view to yards.No facilities,poor breakfast
The room was stunning, nice big bed, the bathroom was also great. Would also recommend going for the breakfast option, the variety is good and the food doesn't disappoint.
View not great from where our room was but we didn't mind, we were out and about most of the time anyway.
bedroom was lovely, nice central location, good value for money
Only space for 5 small cars max for parking, also there's a lot of stairs and no lift
Got a free upgrade to an executive double room. Very spacious. Hotel has been recently redecorated. Plush carpets. The works. Car park was being resurfaced when I visited but staff were very helpful and parked my car at their sister hotel just along the road.
Reception was reasonably helpful
Sadly, there was no car park and given that I had hurt my back, driving about in search of a parking space wasn't helpful especially given the need to subsequently drag a travel bag some distance to the hotel
Location of hotel was great as only a short walk to centre of Edinburgh. We had a triple room which was very spacious & comfortable ideal for a girlie weekend.
All the stairs we had to climb to get to room as no lifts. Not suitable for anyone with any mobility issues. Would say that if booking check where room is situated if stairs could cause a problem
We liked our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable.
We had some issues to start with using wifi but after consulting with staff this was rectified.
Nice staff, clean and tidy place to stay. Very helpful receptionist. Lovely bathroom. Great location close to all attraction.I recommend this hotel to stay. Continental breakfast in the morning was also good :)
My room was located just beside main road and also small storage area belongs to hotel, people used this area to smoke. No issue with that just problem with shooting the door which was very loud.
Some idiot shouting 'taxi' at 3am!!
Loved the bathroom, best one I've ever been in. Bed was ace and the room temperature was perfect.
Bearing in my mind this is all round the best hotel I've been to, I didn't like the wifi and the banister for the stair case felt unsafe. Also one moody night receptionist really ruined the atmosphere.
Pleasant staff and hotel very clean
Very dark rooms on lower ground floor Not only disturbed by late night revellers which is to be expected when staying so centrally but by staff going on and out of service cupboards early morning
Great location, lovely room and breakfast and helpful staff.
I had an injury so the lack of lift and top floor room were a bit challenging on this occasion.
So convenient for tram to and from airport and city centre. We had a room at the back which was really quiet.
An extractor fan in the bathroom would have been nice.
Great location, and very comfortable large room, was nice and warm. Always had clean towels etc Staff very nice and welcoming Pleasant stay
After many attempts failed to get wifi on ipad even with the pass code Do feel however for the money the breakfast should have been a Scottish cooked breakfast instead of continental.
Staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was amazing. Great location too.
The free wifi didn't really work, but to be fair that was the only thing I could fault and it's not that a big deal.
clean and convenient for the town area and price wasn't bad
we had a baby with us hence the walk up the many stairs with the luggage etc was stressful as there was no lift although the guy at the front desk helped in the night. I did not find the front desk staff particularly friendly seems we had to be the friendly ones! we thought there was also car parking but disappointed when we got there to learn that parking is limited and could not in park our vehicle there hence one member of the party had to leave early to go and park out of town before parking fines apply which disturbed his rest and missed breakfast. you should have emphasised that fact clearly as it was a deciding factor in our stay. After all we had a campervan and it would have been easier for use that instead of stay for a short time at your hotel.Pity of course as that person who could not rest and had missed breakfast was the one who had a conference to attend! the hotel could have been more accomodating to him re b/fast. After all it was not a cooked breakfast. As a result of the inconvenience of the parking we had to leave our luggage. The front desk person promised to keep it but looks like it was left right where we left it
Location in Edinburgh for all the tourist attractions. Value for money Free car park Free wii fi
Would prefer the choice of a hot or cold buffet breakfast rather than just the continental offering.
The room looked amazing and we had an lovely nights sleep.
The staff were friendly
Comfortable bed, brilliant shower, good location
We where next door to a family, very noisy all through the night. Wifi didn't work.
It was quite near the main street , easy to get to and from, Nice stay in all
No WiFi. Had to go outside to another building for breakfast.
Helpful staff who helped carry my bag to my room on 2nd floor. Less than GBP50/night for a single en-suite room - I couldn't find anywhere cheaper than that given its location!
Wifi didn't work on one of the nights I stayed. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room not facing the front street.
The wifi signal is great! However, you barely can use the Internet at all!! I am using iPhone 6 plus. It took me forever to open a page, or Google map! We supposed to plan our trip during that night. With the wifi speed, nothing can be done. We called twice, and were told they fixed the problem. But actually, nothing changed. So we went to reception and complained in person, and were told the speed might be faster in public area near reception desk. Guess what, a lie again. The wifi is terrible in the whole hotel! The breakfast stops at 9:30, but we were told at 10 when we check in. I won't stay at this hotel again. I suggest you won't either, if you had other options.
