Everything from location to all the facilities provided the room, staff, breakfast all splendid!!!!''
The car parking not enough for the size of the hotel only five spaces on a first come basis i was fortunate to get a space but If not it would have been inconvenient and extra expensive some form of hotel disc system would help
Good continental breakfast
Bed! Very comfortable
nice area...good restaurants near by..
shower in top floor room more than poorly pressure..
The bathroom was fabulous.
the lo. cation is ideal! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to see the historical side of EdinBourgh
Bathroom was very good, very clean. Bed was comfortable. Location was excellent. Staff on reception were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast wasn't great, not enough choice. My sleep was wrecked by someone banged on the outside door of the hotel at 4:00am and then the reception phone rang. Room was below street level, so rather dark and a bit noisy. Bathroom not en suite.
Very handy transport via tram from airport to hotel direct. Central location in city. Very clean and comfortable and staff friendly.
Perfect location to explore Edinburgh! The breakfast was good, the room comfy and nice and the bathroom was awesome! Very good quality - price relation. I'd come back!
Just to say something... The coffee of the breakfast was awful...
The climb up to the top floor. If we stay again we would like to know where our room is
V comfy beds and powerful shower. Good breakfast although just continental. Amazing buildings. Parking around the corner free from 6.30 Sat to 8.30 Mon
Somewhat stark public spaces including reception area which was not welcoming. Bar area but no lounge that we discovered. No biscuits with the tea/coffee-making facilities!
Two of the desk staff were friendly and helpful. One not so.
Sub-basement room with broken blind and window that couldn't be reached to close. Noisy people in next room. The place isn't very soundproof.
Access to Princes St & restaurants is good. Friendly and helpful staff. continental Breakfast enjoyable plenty of choice. Room furnishings and bathroom facilities and cleanliness first class.
Noise at front of hotel into the early hours opposite a casino and late night club. (double glazing needed and closing of windows not possible ) Floor step in room 9 bathroom EXTREMELY dangerous ! edge needs highlighting or changing
Staff were friendly, helpful and we felt went beyond with useful suggestions and advice
Bar lacked atmosphere and ambience
Excellent breakfast with very helpful staff.
Our room looked out over Main Street opposite a casino, which became very noisy in the early hours of the morning. Suggest towels not changed every day or offer the option to keep, if preferred, to save on water, etc.
High ceiling and nice view in room 111
I would have liked the possibility of having a cooked breakfast
Good central location
Having to walk to separate building for breakfast
Bed was comfortable and room was huge. Breakfast was delicious!
shower wasn't hot at night
Room was clean and well kept. Good view. Great selection of television channels and great bathroom facilities.
Wifi was very poor for majority of our stay. Cleaners made a lot of noise and woke us on more than one occasion as well as coming to our room banging to know if we wanted our room cleaned. I would have preferred that on arrival we were asked what days we would Like our rooms cleaned. Also the stairs was a major downfall for us as my partner has a bad knee and we were in the very top floor. Had we been aware of this we would have chose somewhere else as he was in pain travelling up and down the stairs.
Location of hotel, room, shower room, breakfast, staff. And as per my request, we were assigned a room on the first floor (we're "elderly.")
No elevator -- even to the first floor lots of steps! Room needs two proper arm chairs and better bedside lights (for reading, I purchased a stronger light bulb and removed the lampshade) Note: Staff should be discouraged from standing at the front entrance smoking / chatting -- AND front entrance area should be swept every day (cigarette butts, litter, etc. around the outside steps).
Breakfast was reasonably good with good service. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable.
I didn't like having to leave the hotel, walk up the road to a separate building, climb 3 flights of stairs (with suitcases), through a door, up more stairs to find our room. A very strange room on two levels which stank of cigarettes.
location , ease of parking , peaceful despite city centre location, clean and comfortable room and bathroom - friendly staff and sense of order to booking and set up.
staff stores next to room which meant the bowels of the hotel were on view ! - staff smoking out of the fire exit again this meant the corridors were smokey and let down the clean and friendly ambience. We stayed over two days and this really was the only thing that let down the hotel /
The room especially the bathroom beautiful hotel!
Comfortable room, noise decor, friendly staff
Room much too hot!
nice room comfortable bed quiet clean
not in main hotel front door tricky to open no lift, room on third floor SHOWER DID NOT WORK
