Ballantrae Hotel

Ylitti odotuksemme, huoneisto oli erittäin tilava ja hyvin varustettu, näköalat ikkunoista kaupunkiin olivat vaikuttavat. Sijainti on loistava, päänähtävyydet vain kävelymatkan päässä.

Koska hissiä ei ollut, matkalaukkujen kantaminen 4. kerrokseen oli työlästä.

Location.

The first room we were shown was horrible in the basement and did not meet the promise of zip and link beds. The alternative fo rthe first night was in the Apartments next-door-but-two where the power electricity was not working so the water was cold and there were no bedside lights. After that everything was ok for the remaining three nights and what the hotel lacked in style it made up for in location.

We did not like being on the top floor some 69 steps!! also on a very busy road very noisy at night casino opposite also noise until 4/5am

i was supposed to stay at the Ballantrae Albany but we got moved to the Ballantrae West end a wk before our stay, in fairness to the hotel we got good notice, but maybe if we got to stay in the Ballantrae Albany my comments would have been better. The location was ok, price was good.

Some of the hotel staff were very rude, we were a group of adults but they treated us like teenagers! We got locked out of our room one morning and got no help with regard to getting back into our room and management were not very nice about this situation the next day. We got accused of breaking a door!

Breakfast mediocre. Hotel deperayely needs wi-fi.

Beautiful apartment, ideal for a family, close to all amenities. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and very helpful.

The staff where exceptional extremely helpful and friendly and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable no faults at all and the rooms where very clean and comfortable i would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone.

The staff was super-friendly & helpful. The location was convenient for running the Edinburgh Marathon (10 min. walk to starting line).

The beds & bed linens are in need of updating. There is no lift, so if anyone in your party cannot tote their suitcase up & down at least 1 flight of stairs, be prepared to act as sherpa!

Have a good place to anywhere,good staff to service,good kitchen to breakfast,spacious room to rest,reasonable price to budget.

The Ballantrae Hotel was in a convenient location to major city sites. The hotel staff was very helpful.

The heating system was inadequate. The security could be improved, i.e. chains on the door and a safe. There was no lamp over the desk area, and one of the bedside lamps was out of commission. The pillows were not substantial.

Apartment was huge for the price. The staff couldn't have been nicer.

The breakfast wasn't the best. Most of it could've been bought in the local shop.

Excellent! They served a very good breackfast, the hotel is clean and very confortable. Moreover, is close to the city centre (ten minutes by walk)
