Ballantrae Hotel

Ylitti odotuksemme, huoneisto oli erittäin tilava ja hyvin varustettu, näköalat ikkunoista kaupunkiin olivat vaikuttavat. Sijainti on loistava, päänähtävyydet vain kävelymatkan päässä.

Koska hissiä ei ollut, matkalaukkujen kantaminen 4. kerrokseen oli työlästä.

The location was great and the hotel staff were excellent anything that we wanted was no problem no matter what time.very helpful& pleasent staff& management..overall

Just the decor was a bit dated.but didnt find it a problem over all as the hotel was very clean..

Excellent Location & Really freindly staff

We were spoilt in that we had a very large four room apartment and the breakfast was included in the price. It was a steady walk to The Royal Mile but easy.

There was no lift and carrying our bags up three floors was a bit of a problem.

Apartment was large and well furnished

Great apartment with high celings and a self contained kitchen, in a very convenient location with car parking. The added an extra bed for a third child at no extra cost.

Well located city centre hotel. Basic but clean accomodation with very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good value at rate paid although rack rate offered direct by hotel is 2.5x what I paid which is excessive.

Decor is rather outdated and dark

Attractive building, quiet, reasonably good location

Poor room furnishings, no staff even visible most of the time, no service, no facilities, v small and poky bathroom.

Very comfy beds - large bedroom and quiet location

The hotel is situated close to where we wanted to be, which was great. The room was suprisingly huge and everything was clean.

Some of the bedding and upholstery seems old and could do with a revamp.

Proximity of hotel to Fringe Festival events

The continental breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. The location to the central part of the city was good.

We had booked a family room which was why I picked this hotel and they put us in two rooms on two different floors - not acceptable and they did not give a good reason. Also, they charged my card in USD and I wanted to be billed in GBP. Also, in comparison to other hotels at similar prices that we stayed in during our visit to London - the cost of this hotel was extremely inflated.

The first room we were shown was horrible in the basement and did not meet the promise of zip and link beds. The alternative fo rthe first night was in the Apartments next-door-but-two where the power electricity was not working so the water was cold and there were no bedside lights. After that everything was ok for the remaining three nights and what the hotel lacked in style it made up for in location.
